Great Hotel cool location but not close to market Guest Rating: 4.5

Overall a great experience. We would stay there again. It only cost 100 bhat to get to the night market. The area has a bunch of new cafe's.

Kantary HIlls is a very nice hotel outside of the city center in Chiang Mai. The hotel staff was always very helpful. However, like in most of Thailand, you need to ask the same question in many different ways and then "integrate" the various answers you get in order to come up with a more complete picture - never take just one answer as the whole truth. The hotel has wi-fi (free) which was great; however, you can't connect from your room - only from the hotel lobby and from the pool areas. Computer use charges are extraordinary - instead go down the street by the 7-11 to the internet cafe where there are great computers with skype for very cheap. The work out facilities are very nice. We were consistently impressed with the staff and their friendliness and desire to help us out. The morning buffet is excellent and has both western and japanese fare.

Rooms are excellent, staff is great. Nice to have wi-fi.

location - although the Neimenheiman Rd area is quickly developing, it definitely is not host to the many sites of the city. However, you can take a red truck around the city for only 20 baht, which is the known and understood price - no need for negotiation.

The Kantary Hills new hotel/apartment is just a block off of trendy Neimenhemen Road. With a great staff, diverse breakfast, and wonderful pool it is not a surprise that this new option is already popular. The rooms are large and Thai modern in style. The studios have a small kitchen and the one bedrooms even have a washer/dryer combo. The bathrooms are clean and bright and the air conditioning works! Kantary Hills is within walking distance of the University, internet cafe, day spas, trendy shopping, great restaurants, banks, and more shopping.

Nice staff and onsite restaurant. There is a wonderful pool. Even the studios come with small kitchens and refrigerator. The location is good and the price is right for this Thai modern hotel. Book early since it is very popular already.

The only negative is that the decor is very clean and modern so this spot is not for you if you are looking for a traditional Thai experience.

• Shopping Tip : The Kantary Hills hotel is just a block from all of the new shops and restaurants along Neimenhemen Road. You can walk to shops, internet, food, or the bank within 5 minutes.

I stayed a total of 5 nights, never wanting to change another hotel despite my first time staying. Everything was smooth and comfortable. Crews are friendly, hotel and room are clean. Gym and jacuzzi are on 3rd levels which are easily to access. if you don't mind a little far from those busy night bazzaar, kantary hills might just be the place for you. Quite, sophisticated, brand-new and it's not going to burn a hole in your pocket. A thumb's up from me anytime

The complementary breakfast needs to brush up, i stay for 5 days and i seen the same food over and over again. A little far from the night bazzar.

• Travel tip : There are sort of like hawker food just outside kantary hills but you have to walk like 10 mins for those great and cheap eat-0outs.

The hotel is quite new one and everything has great quality. Staffs are friendly and good performance, security is OK, raxualy guest lounge, and room equipped almost everything we need to stay hotel. Although it is needed to borrow modem to access internet from room, staff bring and setup it quickly and it is free! If I visit Chiang Mai again, I will stay there without any coparison.

Kantary Hills Hotel and serviced apartments is a modern hotel opened within the last 18 months. The concierge staff are very helpful and will not only take your luggage when you arrive to check-in but should you return from a shopping trip they will collect your shopping and take it to your room. The lobby is spacious with plenty of seating and free WiFi internet. Reception staff are polite and efficient. To gain access to the rooms you must use your key card, from there the elevators and corridors are not air-conditioned. Rooms are spacious I stayed in a one bedroom apartment, there is a mini kitchen (more than sufficient to cook a meal), washing machine, microwave hotplates. saucepans cups etc. There is a dining area and a lounge area with nice big TFT TV DVD player and stereo. There are 2 doors on to the balcony from the main living area. The bedroom is a little small but that is only because the bed is huge, beds are comfortable and linen is crisp. The bathroom decoration lets the room down a little, however all fittings and fixtures are new and modern. The rooms are clean however I noticed housekeeping using an old towel to clean the floor and then use the same towel to dry a cup after washing it, so I would recommend that you wash all crockery before using. There is a swimming pool and fitness centre on the second floor, the pool is large and there is a jacuzzi. The hotel offers nice views of the mountain, however be warned it is on the flight path for CNX. This is not a problem though as flights do not arrive late or over night. The hotels location is fine, a little out of the centre but close to some nice shops. A tuk-tuk to the centre of Chiang Mai will set you back no more than 100Baht

Overall we enjoyed our stay at Kantary Hills. The room was top notch (way better than the price would indicate), and customer service was great. Pool was wonderful, and so was the Jacuzzi, but water was a bit cool in the latter. The hotel restaurant was beautiful, but the food was simply not up to snuff. The location is decent, and Nimmanhemin Rd. has some other dining options (a short walk from the hotel). This place has a way to go to earn 5 stars, but it is definitely a solid 3.5 or 4.

Awesome room, good pool and jacuzzi. Great exercise room (hard to find in many hotels in Thailand). Excellent customer service.

Food at the hotel restaurant was below par. Breakfast was ok, but we ate dinner there, and the food was not well prepared.

• Travel tip : Shop and eat at the Airport Central mall - it is south of the hotel. Make sure you go to the lower food court below the Northern Village store. It's cheap, and the locals eat there as well. Ming Meung restaurant on Nimmanhemin Rd. Cheap, good and clean.

In chiangmai...it's difficult to find a fancy hotel. but if you visit the kantary hotel..you might think you are in one of the fancist hotel of bankok. the building is so new and rooms have new eletronic devices..I enjoyed music with new sony stero. the tv set is also new. you would like those things.

the pool is great and sauna too...and above all the building itself is so gorgeous and new.
