beautiful, tree-covered grounds; romantic atmosphere; large, clean swimming pool in natural setting; friendly service; good food; affordable price

There is some noise of traffic on the road next to the resort, but it fades away after you get used to it, and is quiet at night.

We live in the Chiang Mai area, so we have time to look around for special places that aren't too highly priced. Many resorts we've checked out have a more commercial atmosphere, like a place you might go for a conference. But Koa Mai Lanna has the charming, intimate atmosphere we look for in a getaway. We enjoyed special touches like the pond with fountains in it, with wooden decks jutting into the pond. We sat there and read, talked and relaxed for hours. The pool has a jacuzzi attached, and the attendant always turned it on for us after our swim. We also enjoyed bike rides in the countryside that starts right outside the gates of the resort. It is a quiet place, yet there are many interesting sights to visit only a few miles away. We'll be going back.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The resort has put together an informative brochure that gives you lots of ideas of places to visit in the area.

beautiful, wonderful garden, good food and wine

access uneasy without car

We spent a very pleasant night in a comfortable and beautiful room with old furniture; it was far from the main road and quiet. We enjoyed the food and appreciated the wine selection. A few days later we came back for diner. The staff is friendly and helpful. Mosquitos would be a pest without staff attention (burning in the dining room and spraying in rooms).

Hotel Feature Tip : The is an oversize (some 2 m high)white and black km post in the garden which makes the hotel easy to find when you drive the main road from Chaing Mai.

Completely enjoyed it! Guest Rating: 10

Best time to go is December to February. It is the winter time. Also this resort supports charity activities. We bought a greeting card made by the kids from charity organization sold at this resort.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : You can easily cycle to some of the nearest temples (huge sleeping Buddha) for some beautiful shots. After that, head back to the resort swimming pool. Next, try the Lanna Massage. It is great, with foot massage, steam ball, "hammering" and Thai style massage, 4-in-1 at just THB 850 for one hour.

Breakfast is good as well.

Renovate old should have been.

Like to see the good in very nice refreshment. Wood estimates that green bush full enough to know not to ask actual error during Songkran รึ empty at the old cost estimate is not very old hotel that stinky smell any bad David.Very in and see the mv. A hotel that wants to dream. But Paul was disappointed to find. Trees would be less room to see it out and renovate a new force should also be used in public areas for เหอะ.

Hotel Feature Tip : Check before that รึ to renovate.
