Overlooking the Ping River, this hotel provides for a picturesque stay in this Northern Thai city. The hotel is approximately a 15 minute cab ride away from the airport, and about the same from the city center as well. A stay in Chiang Mai is incomplete without a visit to the temples, and some shopping. At a minimal fee, Lanna Mantra provides a shuttle service to transfer guests to the city, and a boat shuttle transfers guests to the Warorot Market. Other nearby places of interest include Lampang, Chianh Dao, and Doi Suthep. The best part of your stay at Lanna Mantra is, while the rest of the visitors to the city need to hire a boat to view the Ping River, you get to enjoy the view from your own room.

This hotel is approximately 15 minutes drive from Chiangmai town and I think renting a car or motorcycle while here would be worthwhile (although the staff can arrange transport for guests with 30minutes notice). The hotel is located on a quiet part of the river. The view is fantastic and the pool and gardens are well maintained. The balconies are spacious and a great place to relax. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
