Service and location is good
Service from the receptionist is very good
8.3
Hotel has been renovated, room is clean and breakfast is good too. A very convenient location. Service is very good too. But there's no drain out in the bathroom, overflow from the bathtub will cause inconveniences. There are many entrances to the hotel which may have safety problem. Generally, it's worth a stay with that price.

Older hotel but excellent accomodations
Beautiful (but older) hotel, great pool, excellent services, easy to get to, shopping center attached to hotel

I stayed here for two weeks while getting a certification in Ruesri Dat Ton and did not want to leave. Although it was an older hotel, the woodwork was exquisite. The room service was superior: Room was always cleaned properly. The only down side might be that because it is older, the tile work was not spotless in the shower and the room smelled a little musty. But the room was very large and had a beautiful view of the mountains.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
This is NOT close to the Night Bazaar ... on the other side of the old city.

价格便宜性比价还行。位置在古城外西北。距古城有一定的距离。但去素贴山和清迈大学一路直行就行了。服务热情。早餐没吃不知怎样。房间内比较简单。装修太久了该重新装修了

Clean and quiet
Nice room with good service
9.3
It is cool hotel with old building but I dis like internet as Internet is free of charge. I have been to Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia nobody charge for internet access but Lotus Pang Suan Kaew Hotel does.......please re-think about this as it is benefit to you not me.

Great Location and excellent service
Large room and beautiful views
9.3
i've stayed at this hotel before. the location is perfect expecially being part of a shopping complex. easy to get around to all part of chiang mai. i would recommend this hotel to everybody. i've always stayed in the deluxe rooms. they spacious and well set up. only thing missing is no coffee/tea making in the room. i rate the 3 mainly because i've never eaten in the hotel so don't take it as a firm rating
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
When going sightseeing best option is to just go out onto the main road and negotiate half/full day taxi price. Then you control what and how long you visit each destination.

Good service, but not well maintained
Location, decent buffet breakfast, good service

Bathtub leaked from the bottom to flood the room. In general a once magnificent hotel now catering to package tours, conventions and those who are tolerant of sub standard facilities.

Clean hotel attached to shopping mall
Mall and eating close, swimming pool, away from busy tourist area
8.3
The hotel was clean and rooms were spacious. Pool was closed for maintenance, but looked nice. Wifi is NOT free but Black Canyon coffee in the mall has a free connection if you buy something there.
Good location for getting around Chiang Mai, not too close to the really busy tourist area. Night market and new mall are a quick taxi ride away. Tops Market in the mall (B1) usually has taxis waiting outside, or take a Tuk Tuk or a Songtauw (small truck with benches... little cheaper).
Good breakfast at the hotel. Salad restaurant a couple of blocks away is worth checking out. Just a couple of blocks straight west of hotel called Salad Concepts.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
- Close to zoo
- Go up mountain to waterfall and/or temple tour
- Salad Concepts close to hotel is good restaurant
- Night bazaar is worth checking out
- Duke's restaurant at night bazaar has excellent food (not cheap though)
- Android and iPhone users download Sygic GPS app for free trial to get around Thailand for a week. Then register if you want to keep using it. Great app, perfect for offline navigation.
