great value
very close to the mall, easy access to public transport, helpful staff
9
Our family enjoyed their stay - especially the pool. However, as others have stated it is a bit old. The room plugs are only two prongs so if you have a three pronged plug that goes to your computer, you have to pay an extra 100 baht to get one at the front desk. Internet is way over priced. 600 baht a day! We went over to the mall, bought a plug and play pay as you go modem for our laptops and spent the equivalent of 2 days hotel internet and can use it for the month!
Food was good - but basically the same western food daily - the Thai food did change daily. We were happy with our stay - it was what we payed.

Great Location with friendly service

I always enjoy staying the Lotus hotel. It is an a great location and the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and we like that the tub and the shower are separate. The only 2 really negatives are that the rooms are starting to look a little worn out. The second one is that if you stay on the bottom 6 floors you can hear the lounge act loud and clear.

Older hotel but good value for deluxe rooms
Good price, convenient for Shopping centre
6.3
rooms are older in style with wood finishings. if book online in advance can get rates inc. breakfast.
breakfast was ok, nothing special. dont have to walk thru shopping centre to get to main road, although this is fine during the day.
higher floors are not suitable for children as there is a fairly low wall looking to the atrium and no protective barrier. singers at night did not disturb. maybe i am just used to noise.
if your expectations are not high then this is a perfectly acceptable place to stay for a few nights although it is not so close to the old city. however it is close to nimmanhemin which has a lot of good restaurants, cafes and shops.

Great place, convenient to everything, Rooms nice
Amenities including location, friendliness, and large rooms

The hotel staff was excellent. My wife had suffered an accident during the trip and the hotel provided a free shuttle to and from the hospital. They were very helpful in every way. The exercise room needs a treadmill and the stationary bikes need to be fixed.
Shopping Tip:
Stay here for convenient shopping

Older but Nice Hotel - Get a Deluxe Room
The deluxe rooms are large and have plenty of places to sit.
6.7
The internet is not free. It can be quite expensive if you need to keep up with work. Minimal TV choices. The temperature in the room can only be adjusted by turning the AC off. The return transfer to the airport is not free. However, this is a comfortable hotel to stay at. It is old and but still pretty. The hotel has non-smoking rooms on non-smoking floors. The hotel is connected to a shopping mall with a number of eating and shopping venues.
Breakfast in the hotel restaurant has both spicy and non-spicy choices, and is worth getting. The hotel is in the process of remodeling the regular (non-deluxe) rooms which are in another wing. This was greatly needed. Once that wing is done, they may start remodeling the deluxe rooms which also need attention.
Restaurant Tip:
In the Mall are the following restaurants, in addition to shops: a Black Canyon, Sizzler, Subway,KFC Dairy Queen, Swensons, HotPot, plus many other choices. There is a grocery store (TOPS) in the basement. One can easily get a Sungtau or TukTuk out in front of the mall. Taxis are available at a side exit just outside the grocery store in the underground garage.

Older hotel, nice rooms
Large rooms in the deluxe wing
5.3
I only stayed one night but was comfortable. I had a very nice view of the mountains. The internet was not free.
Shopping Tip:
The hotel is connected to a shopping mall with a Starbucks, Black Canyon, Sizzler, Subway, etc. There is a grocery store in the basement, lots of ATM machines, a number of banks, at least two drugstores and numerous clothing stores. Central Department Store is also located here. There is an IT section upstairs. There is an arts & souvenir section in the mall across from the hotel.

Good value though showing signs of wear
Location, room rate and breakfast
6.3
We've been using this hotel for over 15 years. Its most obvious attraction is the large swimming pool which allows a decent work out and a soak, especially when it is gets very hot. It is located at the rear of a good shopping mall and has reasonably good connections to downtown and other locales. Parking can be problematic however as the car park is often full and then you have to park in the mall park which is usually crowded. The rooms are showing signs of wear but are nevertheless comfortable and spacious. The buffet breakfast is good.
