Bait & Switch
They book you in the old nasty building that smells horrible has no elevator. Then it costs extra to get into the nicer (but still not updated) main building with an elevator. They are infested with tiny little ants, hey it's Thailand, I get it, but most hotels like this don't have this issue. It's a problem when you want to bring the fabulous fruits or foods that you find back to the room & within an hour it's crawling with ants. The water pressure is poor & you don't get a hot shower, you get a lukewarm shower. The wifi is very unstable, their "fitness room" has no weights, just a few cardio machines & it's a very small & hot room. The buffet is very poor quality food & way overpriced. They only really make your bed & don't really clean very much. The staff is friendly but ineffective. The bed is very hard, it's actually two twins shoved together. Bring your own wash cloths & face towels if you want them because they do not provide them! They have a menu where you can buy them, but they don't sell them anymore. They told me to go to 7-11 & buy them, of course 7-11 doesn't' sell towels. I've never stayed in a hotel that didn't provide a set of towels. I would not stay here again.

breakfast. sauna and pool. big bed
The standard rooms are old and rundown. There is better around for the same price. We upgraded. The deluxe suites are much better, confortable and clean. Breakfast was really good. Quite hotel. If you are looking for a cheap hotel there is better for the price such as chiang mai thai house where we ended up.Ok location.

This hotel is not recommended.
the breakfast buffet was good.
Not much positive ~ there were plenty of ant in our room, Absolutely the worst hotel in this city. The hot water did not work all week so we had cold showers every day. Our room was infested with ants and they did eventually move us to a cleaner room. Checking out of the hotel at the end of the week was ridiculous. T They said it would not come clean. The towel was old and ratty with frayed edges. I took the towel home, threw it in the washer and it came out perfectly white and I did not have to use any bleach. I know hotels use bleach all the time in washing their towels that is why they use white towels. We had spilled a fruit smoothie on the floor as we were packing up so rather than leave it for the housekeeper to clean up we cleaned it up with the towel. It came right out and did not leave even a stain on the towel and I did not even have to use bleach. I wonder how many times this hotel charges customers for ridiculous things as they are checking out.

Nice clean hotel
Clean, Quiet and friendly staff
I have stayed in this hotel previously and was returning to Chiang Mai for 3 day at short notice. I decided to pay the extra for the suite. Room was massive. I like this hotel, it's always nice and quiet and is only a short 10 mins walk to the nightlife, or jump in a taxi if you don't want to walk. I have never had an issue with this hotel and will be staying here again on future visits. Also, Mr Korn, the small travel operator directly opposite the main lift entrance is a the best person to speak to out of the 4 or 5 shops. He speaks really good english and always did me a good deal on the many trips I have booked with him.
