location is good, has free computer and internet in the lobby They have the main building and wing buildings, unfortunatly, i booked the wing building, the room is pretty old, and i found ants on my bed, they even bit me, finally they changed another room in the same building, still so many ants.Never stayed any hotel like this, terrible!!!

Centrally located, clean, big rooms Maninarakorn is situated just a short stroll from the night market and the old city of Chiang Mai. It is a big and somewhat inpersonal hotel. The cleaning is OK. There is a gym but unfortunately it is very poorly equipped and frankly useless. The pool is small and there are only three sunchairs and no pool service like a bar etc. All in all if you book it at Agoda-price it is worth your money.
Travel tip : Go speak to the italian travel agency right outside the hotel. The manager can give you some great advice on what to see and do around CM.

Lovely mountain views
Clean and bright rooms Breakfast a bit of a let-down
'Double bed' actually two singles pushed together The hotel is clean and the room bright with a nice view of the mountains. The bathroom is also spotless and of a fair size.The 'double room' seemed to consist of two single beds pushed together with a large sheet covering the two.
Breakfast is seems to centre around pork- pork noodles, ham, bacon and chipolatas! For a Western breakfast, it seemed a little incomplete really- toast, ham, eggs and bacon but no beans/hash browns etc and no orange juice by 9.30am.
Charging 5Baht of the use of additional tea bags seems a bit tight/steep although the first (black) one per room is provided free!

The location was great, the rooms were well decorated and very spacious. The staff were helpful. The hotel was in a fantastic location and was an easy walk from the hub of Chiang Mai. The rooms were tastefully done and we had loads of space. The pool was fab for a quick dip when we needed to cool down. The value of the place was excellent. You could book onto tours from a little place within the hotel which was very handy.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : We did a cookery course with Thai Orchid Cookery School which was really fantastic. Thoroughly recommend it.

HUGE rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast This was a great value hotel in Chiang Mai. Close to the city center but area was quiet. The room was huge; really a suite although we only booked a regular room. There was a sitting area at the front of the room, separated from the bedroom by the bathroom and a short hallway. Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful and breakfast was good with lots of selection. We had a great stay and wanted to stay longer in Chiang Mai just for the hotel!

good breakfast -- big spacious rooms -- excellent service and friendliness from the staff --- internet connection in the lobby no elevator in the terrace building The staff were very efficent and the hotel is clean and not far to walk to the popular venues for the tourist. The rooms are very spacious and clean. I think it is a good choice for those who like to be close to the heart of the city and yet can have a nice place to rest after a night on the town. Breakfast was good and offered plenty of choices in western and oriental cuisine.
Nightlife Tip : Close to the lively bars -- only a 10 minute walk and you're in the middle of the fun

Breakfast was nothing special This is a nice hotel to stay at while in Chiang Mai. It has a good location, all taxi drivers know of this hotel. The rooms are very nice, we had a twin room, it was modern and spacious, and the airconditioner wors a treat! While we were staying at this hotel the pool was closed/ out of order because it was too dirty. One day it was open and looked a bit grotty and the next it was completely covered in slime and gunk! So that was a bit let down on a hot day. Hotel staff were friendly, although the language barrier was a little hard at times. We were over charged on our room service bill, and found that the food was not consistent. All in all this is a good hotel, just check the pool and your room service bill.
Shopping Tip : Night market within walking distance from this hotel.

room service food was a little poor We stayed at the Maninarakorn hotel for 5 nights we found The maninarakorn to be a nice hotel and good value for the price. Taxi drivers know of this hotel, the location is good. It is close to the night market. The hotel is clean but not having the use of the pool was a big let down. There was also some mistakes on our room service bill, be sure to check. Staff are friendly and helpful. Internet only available in lobby. I would recommend this hotel because of its value for money.
Shopping Tip : The sunday night market is only a short walk away from the hotel.

Should have hair dryer & sandals. Our family spend one night at Maninarakorn, it's quite good, near Night Bazaar, able to walk to morning market & night Bazaar, the price is reasonable with service & location. Next time in Chiang Mai I will come here again.

clean, nice staff, free wifi in lobby small breakfast, terrace room is awful, not close to anything We booked a terrace room but it was like a bad guesthouse had to pay extra and change to the real hotel. The hotel is clean, the staff speaks good english and they ahve free nternet in the lobby. The breakfast is very small and focus on thai dishes. The swimmingpool is nice but only has about 4-5 chairs.
Shopping Tip : visit nimmanhemin road! forget about the night market and focus on sunday walking street instead!

Great breakfast, HUGE HUGE rooms, excellent friendly service This is an amazing hotel with great value. The service and the quality of the room are well worth twice the price I paid on Agoda! I would certainly return. Free internet and breakfast is definitely a nice nice perk!

Nice, clean room with good breakfast, quiet and walking distance to night market. Terrace rooms with no lift. This is my second time staying in Maninarakorn Hotel. I like the location as it's walking distance to the night market and I can have a good rest as the place located is quite peaceful, price's reasonable and the staffs are very friendly, I will recommend to my friends to stay there.

Nice rooms, nice swimming pool, breakfast quite good. Friedly service. Good value. Hotel rooms do not have wlan/internet. Free internet only lobby area. Nice quite new hotel. Good central location near old city and night market. About 15 minutes to airport (by taxi 120 bath). Spacious clean rooms. Can select rooms from main building or residence building. Residence building rooms have bedroom and separete small living room. Breakfast quite good. Nice swimming pool. Hotel rooms do not have wlan/internet. Hotel staff performed well - service was friedly. Hotel is one of good choice of its class.
