Top notch service, good base for night market

small pool

good base for night market as close by, big rooms but strangely arrnaged I suppose in some rooms, as bathtub in what westerners would consider living area, alternatively could be a good concept of intimity and romance.......

The room is big enough to accommodate 3 persons. The place is quite and nice to stay. Computer is offered in the lobby for the guest to use.

The floor tiles is old and with the dark spot making the overall view is not pleasant. WiFi connection is slow and difficult to tap in the line.

In general, the room is big since you have one bedroom and one living room which you can use for chit chat and sleep on the sofa. The floor tiles is old and with dark spot making the room look not so pleasant. The WiFi connection is weak and difficult to tap in the line for usage.

Travel tip : A walking distance to Sunday Market

Location and friendliness of staff

No elevator in the building we were put in.

This is a good hotel for the money. The location is very good near the night life of the bazaar and central market. It is a close walk to both the mote which goes around the whole city and the Ping river which has many restaurants, bars and coffee houses. The hotel has a decent buffet with an exceptionally friendly staff. We were put into the auxillary building that is next to the main structure. There is no elevator and that can be a problem for some climbing four flights of stairs! This was not a problem for us as we enjoy our exercise but might be problematical for some. The room was very very large. Overall a great value for the money.

Shopping Tip : Night bazaar outdoor food court has excellent Thai food at bargain prices.

Location is convenient, (nice that it's not right in the bazaar), Good restaurants are close by, American style breakfast was good and there is nice variety. Nice walk to Sunday Walking Street.

Might need a few more English speaking employees. One computer was broken, leaving only 2 for all guests to use in the lobby.

Nice, homey feel in the older rooms. Front sitting area in each room is comfortable and friendly... just enough space for informal meetings for groups traveling together. Massage was nice. Everything was very clean. Be prepared for the open non-enclosed shower. No elevators, but you don't have to haul your own luggage so that's nice.

The best feature of this hotel is its situation: close to the night market and the old town. The rooms were nice and the service good. The hotel is surrounded by a good chinese restaurant and a good coffee shop.

The mattresses in the room were way too soft and flabby. They need to be changed.

Staying at the Maninarkorn was a very pleasant experience. The location is great, close both to the night market and the old town. So it was easy to get to either. The rooms were nice and the service good. One of the good feature of the hotel is that it is surrounded by a good chinese restaurant and a cute coffee shop with very decent coffee.

Restaurant Tip : the chinese restaurant next door is good and so is the coffee shop.

Near to Night Bazaar Clean and Big rooms Buffet breakfast included Free internet in lobby

nothing really

This is my second stay in Maninarakorn Hotel this year. I was very impressed with the clean rooms, proximity to Night Bazaar, free internet and breakfasts during my first stay. Hence, I had no qualms about staying a second time. Agoda also has very very good prices for this hotel all the time and it really is very good value for money!

Fantastic location, 5 minute walk to the night market. Clean room, seperate living area. Comfortable beds, free internet in lobby.

No elevator for the outside rooms

What a great little place this was. It is an a fantastic location, about a 5 minute walk to the night market. They have comfortable beb, a seperate living area which is very handy. The supplied breakfast was delicious and substantial. The pool is a great little bonus, we spent a lazy morning up there one day, unfortunately the sun goes behing the building in the early afternoon so it cools off a bit, but all in all a great place that I will stay at again.

Hotel Feature Tip : Be careful of the bathroom doorway, it is very low...

Swimming Pool, Sauna, Bathtub, Free Breakfest Buffet, Proximity to old city

Small TV, Terrace Rooms a bit dated and not cleaned so well, limited TV channels, fitness center was rubbish.

The hotel was really great! The location is a 5-10 min walk to the Old City, Night Bazaar and Street Food Vendors. The room was huge, more like an apartment with microwave, fridge and kettle. The swimming pool was small but wonderful after sweating all day and the sauna and steam room were great as well. Breakfast buffet was the same each morning, but it was well stocked and good. Only one small TV in the bedroom and none in the living room, but there was a jacuzzi tub there, so if you bring your wife or girlfrind the show is much better!

Restaurant Tip : Try the street food vendors, near the old wall, the food is great and dirt cheap.

Good breakfast. 3 free internet pc and wi fi not far from night market easy walk

No issues

On arrival disappointed with the terrace room. This is located across the drive from the hotel. The room is not what I expected. On entry there is a living room area with tv sofa fridge etc. A short corridor to the bathroom leading off, heading to the bedroom. It is dated and not my choice. They kindly offed a room in the hotel itself, at extra cost but worth it. Stay in the main hotel and then it is a good hotel but this was not an alternative in the booking

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The night market is nearby and plenty of places to eat. Car rental was good value at 900B a day delivered and collected. Card found in lobby.Plenty of trips to be had.Zoo nice. I would not bother to go up the hill from there. The hilltribe village is so so and the palace is only 43 and so not of historical value in my mind, but the temple is worth a look. The drive up the hill was good

Modern design in rooms; attractive bathroom; window seating area; excellent breakfast.

No wifi in rooms. Annexe rooms no lift, stairwell really dirty, flooring in room chipped and dirty.

I was disappointed that both the hotel and Agoda stated, when I arrived at the hotel, that our specification for twin beds was a "special request". When we arrived at the hotel we were shown the Annexe rooms. The stairwell was filthy, there were dirty footprints in the hallway, the floors in the rooms were chipped and grimy. There was no lift and we were put on the 3rd floor. After much hanging around in reception and conversations on the phone to Agoda, we were offered an 'upgrade' to a room in the main hotel building. We were charged 100 baht per room. The main building is attractive, well-maintained and clean. The breakfast was excellent. The front of house staff, after the initial period during which they seemed reluctant to accept that two teenagers cannot share a double bed, were helpful.

Restaurant Tip : Whole Earth. Delicious curries. Lovely setting.

Good location, good staff, good breakfast, huge size rooms.

Rooms decoration and colors just makes you screech, its bad! Wireless connection only at lobby. Long and narrow flight of stars up to rooms and no elevators for elders or wheelchair. View from room was towards an ugly alley

Overall it was good enough to stay but I had nothing else to compared it in the area. Staff was always there to help and sure they did specially with the different tours I could take.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The hotel's tour company was quite good. I was very satisfied with what they offer. We took the rafting, elephant riding, village trips up north. Tour guide was also very accommodating and his english was good enough to understand his comments.
