A classic choice, not a modern sterile hotel but a hotel that has plenty of wood and old world style. Okay it maybe a bit dated but it is well located has everything you need including a good breakfast. The staff are friendly and everything works. Car parking isn't a problem as there is parking over the road from the hotel.
Nightlife Tip:
Checkout the Night Bazaar and Walking streets within a short walking distance from the hotel. Check out the cabaret in the Anusan Plaza Market (off the Night Bazaar).

Cheap hotel with good breakfast

The hotel room is quite cheap and The room is very big but the space in the room is not well organized. The living room part is very big but the bathroom is so small. The room condition is quite old as well. There is no elevator. But the breakfast is ok with a lot of choices. It suit for business trip overnight. The location of the hotel is quite close to Night Bazaar

Location is between old city and start of night bazaar, about 5-10 mins walk

rooms (not annex) were spacious and clean.
we only ate at the breakfast buffet which got boring after 3 days.
Travel tip:
For a family, I suggest to arrange own transport to airport as hotel transport costs per pax.
By comparison, the taxi fare from airport to hotel was baht.

we enjoyed our stay at this hotel which is conveniently located for the main attractions in chiang mai including the night market. the pool is a lovely feature and we enjoyed this a lot. good breakfast.

Great ... and now even greater!

Every year we stay at the Mani. Every year I write reviews saying it is a GREAT hotel. This year, to my surprise, they have updated and decorated rooms, reception and restaurant. So now, the Mani is even better than ever. Now, I know it's not an expensive place so should not be compared to 5*, but I defy anyone to stay here and not be impressed and completely satisfied.. To management and owners, WELL DONE!
Restaurant Tip:
Midday buffet is very good, well worth the price!
