Staff helped me secure a ticket out of Chiang Mai
Using the hotel phone for local calls was very expensive. Free breakfast was terrible. One could get excellent Thai food just a few meters up the street for under 100 baht including two entrees, rice, and water or Coca Cola. Wireless internet access did not work in the room-they should invest in a couple of routers. To use it, one had to bring the laptop to the lobby and sacrifice all his privacy.
Wireless internet did not work in my room. I thought this considerably tacky. The room itself was very, very clean and new. The shower was nice--glass enclosed. There was a beautiful view of Chiang Mai city including the wall and Doi Suthep outside my window. But with no internet access, I was forced to conduct my business in the hotel lobby.
Hotel Feature Tip : Spring for an upgraded room on one of the top floors. You'll get a nice view, and the configuration is homey. Very nice. Don't get too excited about breakfast, however. They don't keep the creamers filled, they don't over coffee often enough, the pancakes taste like saltines--cripsy without salt--and the food selection is bad.

helpful staff, clean room.
lousy food--poor breakfast, free wireless internet--if you bring your laptop into the lobby.
Please invest a little money in wireless routers so that customers can access the internet from the privacy and comfort of their rooms. My room had a nice view of Doi Suthep and was very clean. The hotel is new, and everything is new and fresh. Quiet, relaxing. I was there for three weeks, and the staff did not remember my name.

nice clean, helpful staff
bad breakfast
wireless internet connection worthless--you have to access it in the lobby
Staff was helpful, wireless internet was worthless, room was nice with a view of Doi Suthep and the mountains, but not all rooms have this view. You have to upgrade.

nice hotel
Decent location
Good breakfast
staff could have been more helpful
Only 6 deck chairs by the pool
Pool is completely shaded by midday
Hotel not too well maintained
The main building of the hotel is very nice. The rooms are also nice but could be better maintained e.g. Paint peeling.
The terrace rooms are cheaper but had a bit of a dirty feel - after checking in we quickly moved into the main building.
The hotel is in a fairly good location - about 10 minute walk from the walking street Market. The staff could have been a bit more helpful - I had some fruit I wanted to cut up in my room and they could not provide a knife for some reason. The hotel did provide a pretty good breakfast. Overall I would still say it was a satisfactory stay.

Nice spacious rooms. Good staff that spoke english well, free internet in the lobby. Close to Chiang Mai town center. Good security 24/7
internet hit and miss, no elevator on the outsdie wing
This hotel is located close to Chiang Mai town center and also close to the night bazar. It was within walking distance of the Loi Khratong main activity area. We felt safe and the service was courteous and the staff spoke good english, which was a plus. There was a good and varied buffet breakfast. The staff was well aware of ongoing and special or seasonal activities. Very good value for money spent. Would return again
Travel tip : check out nthe restaurant around the hotel.

Clean, well lit, free internet free breakfast sauna and pool.
The location of this hotel was perfect. You can walk to the old city and also to the night bazaar. The hotel is clean and well lit. The shower was wonderful, nice glass containment. The amenities were all there. The breakfast was excellent and included both American and Thai foods. The staff was very helpful. They allowed us to store our bags while we took a side trip to Chiang Rai and returned after a day or so. We were also allowed to leave a package for pick-up by our shipper. There is free parking at the hotel and 24 hour security. The security personnel got tuk tuks or cabs for people and stopped traffic so we could easily exit from the parking lot. The Hotel has wonderful wood sculptures throughout. There is a lovely pool and also a sauna, which was fabulous. There is also a fitness room.
Overall the place is great and we would stay again. As a matter of fact, this was the second time we stayed at the Marinarikorn!

Large Bedroom with separate living room and bathroom. Very clean and modern. Staff friendly and gave excellent service. The breakfast available was superb.
We stayed in the annex and no lifts which would not bother as as only 3 floors - but would suggest if elderly or disabled the Main part of the hotel has lifts and the rooms are just as good.
The Hotel is only 20 Minutes from the Airport and only an 8 Minute walk to Chiang Mai's Famous Night Market. We were so surprised how Big the Rooms were and felt so comfortable as soon as we opened the door. The large Lounge had comfortable sofas and the decor was modern and homely.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Very good location only 8 min walk to night market. Taxi Drivers will take you to all the Tourists sites in and out of the city. The Temples in the City, The Royal Palace and the Main Temple in The Mountains is a must. We hired Taxi for one day and only 2500 baht which also included a trip to The Tiger sanctuary. Chiang Mai is a wonderful City with wonderful people.

Location to night market.
Wonderful breakfast even for a vegetarian,
lovely rooms.
Shower would not maintain temperature. Would get cold then too hot. I had to back away from the water until i could re-adjust the temperature.
I was absolutely impressed with this hotel and would go back again. Everyone, without fail, was as helpful and as pleasant as they could be. The rooms were lovely. The breakfasts were more than adequate for me as I am a total vegetarian.
The location was great - just a short walk to the bottom end of the night market.
I was very pleased with this hotel!
Hotel Feature Tip : Location to the night market.

Clean, newish, spacious, free internet, nice pool, decent rate online.
Don't book travel or tours with hotel staff, walk across the road; gym equipments broken; breakfast was ok if you can put up with instant coffee; noisy air conditioning.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Go to Sunday markets in the old city.

Good position and high quality rooms with nice bathroom (shower only). High quality decor and good service from friendly staff. Great value.
The breakfast was good but often the food was cold and the plates were not pre-heated. By mid way through the breakfast period the choice became limited.
This is a modern hotel in a good position for getting out and about in Chiang Mai. There are 2 sections of the hotel - the main hotel and the annexe across the courtyard. Stay in the hotel to make life easier. Although the reception area has air con, the corridors to the rooms did not and they are stiflingly hot. Sometimes the bar was closed before 10 and no explanation why....
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Theoretically it is within walking distance of the night market, but remember the temperature...take a taxi.....

This hotel is close to all the places.
Me and my husband from Holland visited this hotel first time when introduced by a friend. First very impressive with the nice building, gold and white color make us feel like queen and king. All was ok, just swimming pool was very small compared to European size. This hotel is in the middle of town, so easy to go anywhere.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : We will visit it again.
