Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Parasol Inn Hotel Chiang Mai Info
Located in the city center, Parasol Inn is walking distance to the famed Sunday Market. Doi Suthep is a must visit, out of the many temples that are dotted in and around Chiang Mai. For the more adventurous, there are hikes, bamboo rafting, and elephant safaris. The hotel is also near the Ping River, source of the more well know Chao Phraya, and at least one meal should be had on board a cruise. And if you wish to return home with some unique souvenirs, you should take a trip to the handicraft villages, and pick from silk and cotton weaving to wood carving.

Really lovely staff who were very helpful with organising trips. Great location for the Sunday Market, which is much nicer than night bazar.
Although rooms were very clean, they felt a bit dated, not that that matters if you're making the most of chiang mai!
Parasol was a really welcoming hotel in central Chiang mai. We were given great advice on what trips were good and which were not. The rooms were basic, but if you don't want to be with backpackers and need a space that offers peace and quiet, your own bathroom and a tv, then we would recommend this as a good value option as the rooms are spotless. Breakfast is a bit basic, but there are so many good places around the corner.
Shopping Tip : If your staying over a sunday and are hoping to buy souveniers/crafts wait for the sunday market much better than night market.

Price, location and cleanliness.
No coffee making facilities or lift (4 floors).
We booked the Parasol Inn via Agoda for only two nights, at a good rate, but ended up staying longer and returning to stay again. The hotel staff are extremely helpful, polite and friendly, always willing to assist with any problem or enquiry. They were kind enough to store our unneeded luggage while we were away travelling for a few days. The rooms are very spacious, attractively decorated and very clean. Only some minor touches are needed as far as paint repairs etc. Our bed was a huge king size and very comfortable.
Located at the intersection of the Sunday night markets and being in central Chiang Mai, makes the hotel ideal for shopping and commuting to other places in the city. Included breakfasts are provided by the cafe adjoining the hotel and the menu is limited to 4 options, with which we had no complaints. There are no safes in the rooms but the staff will store any valuables securely for you at reception for 30 baht. Hair dryers can be hired for a one off minimal fee of 50 baht. Massages are available in the lobby or private room, the prices are very reasonable and the massage ladies are very good at what they do.
We have already recommended Parasol Inn to fellow travellers.
Restaurant Tip : The Parasol Inn is also just around the corner from a few cafes & restaurants (turn left out of the entrance and left at the corner juice bar) which are ideal for lunch and dinner. Our favourite was The Garden, on the left hand side of the road. Meals start at around 60 baht, the service is great and the food delicious. If you would like a good steak, try walking a bit further to the Coconut (something?.)For 185 baht we ate a big serving of fillet steak, mushroom sauce, chips and salad.

Good value for the accomodations featured.
Parasol Inn's best feature is smack centrality allowing best access in any direction. Right on the Sunday Market path for easy shopping and bag dropping, tuk-tuk access, and a good walk to any cafe restaurent amenity. It is simple basic accomodation, but clean and comfortable. A good value for Chiang Mai. Friendly staff, and comfortable features.
Hotel Feature Tip : Hotel is on the Sunday Market path. Shop, bag-drop, shop again, and then drop!
