Lovely hotel & the staff is awesome

Great place to stay in the central part of Chiang Mai. Close to several wats as well as many good restaurants. Room was clean, breakfast was good. The hotel staff was more than accommodating and friendly. We stayed here for a few nights but unfortunately missed Sunday (and the Sunday Market) which runs along the street.
Shopping Tip:
1st Restaurant tip: GO to the recommended restaurant (I think it's called Heun Phen something like that) you won't be sorry. Best food we ate in the city. And Shopping tip: If you're into second hand shopping - there's one located on the block adjacent to the hotel. When you exit the front take a left out the door, cross the street to the next block and then cross the street again and you can't miss it. It's a stones throw from the hotel and has many good "older" vintage items including hats, purses, dresses & so on.

Well located hotel with individual features
Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Lovely paintings direct on walls of hotel rooms. Good location in old city, next to to famous wats, and right on the Sunday walking street.

I stayed with my little grandson and his mum, and it was our first visit to Chiang Mai. From our arrival the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and advised us of local sites, and arranged a day tour for us at a very reasonable price. Our room was very pleasant, although the only window was from the bathroom, so we needed the light on most of the time. However, this was more than made up for by the lovely paintings on the walls of our room - by a local artist apparently - and the view from the bathroom window of the wat next door, as well as by the magnificent sized bed! There is no lift so the stairs are a bit of a climb. The breakfast was OK, but served everyday with a smile. The trip arranged through the hotel was excellent, and the staff really seemed to care that we had a good time. I would happily stay there again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The hotel is next door, literally, to Wat Pan Tao, which has a 14th Century teak viharn, and that is next to Wat Chedi Luang, which is one of the Wats you should not miss in Chiang Mai. The hotel is also on one of the Sunday Walking Streets, which is a fascinating Sunday night market, of local souvenirs and crafts, as well as performers. It is a short walk to the Tha Pae gate in one direction, and to the 3 Kings Monument and the Arts and Cultural Centre in another.

the parasol inn had both good and bad aspects. we really liked the location...right on the sunday market street. very central in chiang mai and the taxi drivers knew how to find it. the staff was very friendly as well.
breakfast was good and the fish massage was nice.

THE ROOMS WERE TASTEFULLY DECORATED, CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE EVEN WITH THE ADDITIONAL BED.THE HOTEL WAS A ONE STOP FOR ALL THE TOURIST PACKAGES AND PRICES REASONABLE.WE WOULD HAD PAID A LOT MORE WITH THAT OFFERED BY THE LOCAL TAXIS.

OVERALL, THE HOTEL WAS OK. BUT NOT HAVING AN ELEVATOR IS A MAJOR FAULT. I WOULD NOT HAVE TAKEN THE HOTEL HAD I KNOWN. I LOST IN TERMS OF MONETARY TOO BECAUSE OF THIS. I HAD BOOKED 2 DELUXE ROOMS BUT THERE WAS ONLY 1 DELUXE ROOM PER FLOOR. NOT WANTING MY CHILDREN TO INJURE THEMSELVES RUNNING UP AND DOWN THE CONCRETE STAIRS (NOT CARPETTED), I SETTLED FOR A STANDARD ROOM ON THE SAME FLOOR. NO REFUND !! ANYWAY HAVING WI FI HELPED IN TERMS OF OUR FLIGHT WEB CHECK-IN.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
THE TOURS OFFERED BY THE HOTEL ARE VERY RESONABLY PRICED.DO NOT DEAL WITH THE LOCAL TAXIS/VANS FOR THE TOURS, SO MANY OMISSIONS.

โรงแรมขนาดเล็กมีสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวบริเวณใกล้ ๆ
พนักงานต้อนรับด้วยรอยยิ้มและไมตรี สถานที่อยู่ในแหล่งที่มีวัดอยู่ใกล้ ๆ เป็นจำนวนมาก และเปิดประตูออกมาจะได้พบถนนคนเดินสำหรับวันอาทิตย์ ถ้าไม่มีเวลาไปซื้อหาของฝากสามารถซื้อได้ในวันอาทิตย์เพราะของหลากหลายและเยอะมาก ที่สำคัญราคาถือว่าถูก

เป็นโรงแรมขนาดเล็ก (ดูเหมือนจะเป็นตึกแถว 4 ชั้น และมาตกแต่งให้เป็นโรงแรม) สิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกอื่น ๆ ค่อนข้างน้อย ห้องที่เข้าพักเอง/ชั้น 3 ตกแต่งสวยมาก ไม่เล็กไม่ใหญ่ แต่อีกห้องหนึ่งที่ญาติพัก /ชั้น 4 อาจยังไม่ได้ปรับปรุงมากนัก เพราะดูเก่าไม่เหมือนชั้นที่พักอยุ่
อย่างไรก็ตาม ส่วนใหญ่คนไปเที่ยวจะไม่ค่อยได้อยู่พักในห้องพัก ดังนั้นไม่จำเป็นต้องใช้โรงแรมหรูหรือสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกมากนัก ดังนั้นแค่นี้ก็ถือว่า OK เพราะมีสถานที่เที่ยวอยู่ใกล้ ๆ สามารถเดินไปได้เอง (ยกเว้นผู้สูงอายุ)และช๊อบปื้งได้ในวันอาทิตย์

สถานที่พักนี้ใกล้ประตูท่าแพ อนุเสาวรีย์สามกษัตริย์ และมีวัดหลายแหล่งอยู่บริเวณนั้น โดยเฉพาะวัดพระสิงห์ และถ้าอยู่พักถึงวันอาทิตย์สามารถช๊อปปิ้งที่ถนนคนเดินได้ เพราะมีของขายเยอะมาก ๆ / อาหารเช้าที่โรงแรมน้อยและไม่ค่อยอร่อย ถ้าเข้าพักน่าจะจองในราคาที่ไม่รวมอาหารเช้า เพราะใกล้ ๆ ที่พัก มีร้านขายอาหารอยู่หลาย ๆ บางร้านอยู่ตามซอย สามารถเลือกกินได้มากกว่าที่โรงแรมจัดให้
