Older hotel but still nice
The pool and large room and refrigerator

The lift was slow but that was the only problem I had with the hotel. You cannot expect much at a cheap price but actually the room was large and pool very large and deep. So I was quite satisfied with my stay.

Ok older hotel with very nice big pool

I did not have any issues and was satisfied at the budget price.
The room was wooden and older but in good condition.
The pool was very large and deep so very satisfied. There was also ample parking space.

Old hotel satisfying basic needs.
Friendly and informative staff, cheap restaurant, good location, you get what you pay for

book the prince if you prefer not to be in the center of all the business and hype. the location was good for us as it was in between the night bazaar and old city and it only cost about baht one way to those locations. we stayed in the deluxe room which had all basic features - spacious, good aircon, english tv channels and decent wifi. you could tell that nothing had been updated for a while and if they did renovate the place could be quite stunning. reception was very helpful and the main girl kim had good english and was very informative. it was a good stay overall, definitely worth what we paid and i am happy.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Do not book tours with the hotel. The girl kept saying she would give us a good discounted price but was still much too expensive. Try booking with other tour centers around the area. A good one is a homestead place on Soi 1 called funky monkey. Good English speaking and much cheaper; they must take less commission.
