Will definitely visit again
Quiet, cosy and in walking distance from the Chiang Mai Train Station

Stayed two nights with my wife, and we both liked this hotel. It's in a very quiet neighbourhood but not more than a five minutes tuktuk ride away from downtown Chiang Mai. Attractive architecture of the hotel, restaurant and pool area. Not the usual uncharming concrete buildings you usually see. The prices for rooms and in the restaurant are very reasonable and the morning buffet included in the room price was one of the better ones we have tried in Thailand. Friendly staff. Will definitely stay there again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Take a day trip to the summit of Doi Inthanon, Thailands highest mountain, and walk one of the nature trails. On the way up or down the mountain make a stop at the Napamaytanidol Chedi and enjoy the breathtaking view.

Great Little Hotel

We arrived early, 9am and were welcomed with a cold drink. A room was quickly made available and we checked in within 15 mins. The staff could not have beeen more helpful throughout our stay. Rooms were comfortable and the buffet breakfast was very good. The restaurant is competitively priced and the food was excellent. A free shuttle bus to the airport was an added bonus.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The Elephant Training Centre was a great day out if you want to get close to these magnificent creatures.

Hotel is in quiet lane just 12 min walk to main street and 5 min drive to the downtown of Chang Mai, tuk tuk for 60 bath. Rooms are clean a spacious and you get 2 bottles of water every day free. They offer excelent buffet breakfast and service is great. Hotel offers free Wifi connection,
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
There is taxi outside of hotel and he can take you to day trip where you want to go much cheaper than a day trip through travel agency. Just tell him, what you want to see and he´ll arange it. We went to Doi Suthep, than to waterfalls and then to elephant park for 800 bath (3 persons 10AM to 6 PM)

The hotel was worth the money,quite location, with lovely swimming pool, nice interior though a bit old.However, the service was not satisfied.
We booked the bus tickets from Chiang Mai to Bangkok via the hotel.
They over charged us and didn't mean to return the extra money till we found out the actual cost (which is stated on the ticket).
Then different stuff quoted different price for same kind of car service.
7 of us stay there and such dishonesty would not let us recommend the hotel to our friends.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
You can book a one day tour including elephant riding, elephant show, ox riding, bamboo rafting and also visit orchid garden for around 700 THB, also the lunch is included.
There are lots of touriest agency around the Old Gate.
Just go and bargain for the good price!

i had a great time as everything was within reach and more friendly and easier to manage than a large hotel with numerous floors. the restaurant was great. all staff were friendly and helpful. i would have liked tea and coffee making facilities in my room as i like a cup of tea in the evenings and prefer not to call room service.

It is a small intimate hotel and you feel that staff remember you.
