Have stayed here many times and will continue. Excellent staff, nice Thai decor, excellent location and well worth the price. Cheap wifi in room or lobby computers.
Location excellent. Near Night Market and River, easy access to cabs, tuk tuks. Many places to eat in addition to good restaurant at hotel. Nice new pool

I found this hotel to be of an excellent standard throughout, the staff were very friendly/helpful, a very relaxed atmosphere, the rooms were spacious and comfortable and the food on offer here was top class (both breakfast and a la carte dining).
The night market is less than a 10 minute walk away and this can be broken up by a trip to the Rotee stall or other food stalls on the way that are inexpensive.
The interior design was very classy and when I return to Chiang Mai next year I have every intention of staying at Raming Lodge again!
Great location, good sized comfortable rooms, very friendly staff, excellent restaurant.
Internet costs in the hotel are 10 times more than round the corner and you can only buy 1 hour blocks, not pay per minute.. Try down the road instead.
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Try the banana rotee stall down the road in the evening - exit past the restaurant, turn left and you will see the yellow sign - left an addict!

This is a very attractive hotel with modern amenities but local style. It is very well located , less than ten minutes walk to the night bazaar and very close to the old city. Hotel personnel is very helpful. Breakfast buffet is more than adequate. The only drawback was nearly nonfunctional internet service.

- Shopping Tip : Night bazaar is nearby and there are inexpensive good restaurants near there. A particularly good Thai/Indian place was a real find.

We spent four nights in Raming. The most attrative feature of this hotel is that it has a very high performance-cost ratio. It is a good budget hotel. Moreover, it is located in a good street: very close to nightbazzar and the old city. The night life is very rich. We enjoy walking and sitting there after dinner. Inside the room, it is quiet. However, the room is not clean enough. My wife does not enjoy the stay. Moreover, the air is not good. there is some smell. We suggest that they should provide a conditioner there, and a electronic device for hot water.
- reasonable price
- good location
- the air in the room is not good.
- the room seems not clean enough.
- no device for hot water (two bottles of water are provided every day though).
- Nightlife Tip : there are quite a few bars nearby.

A great hotel situated 7-10 minute walk from the night bazzar. Very clean and professionaly run with good staff. Excellent standard of rooms with modern bathroom, plasma tv etc. Nice swimming pool area at the back of the hotel. Overall, in terms of value this is probably the best hotel of its class in Chiang Mai, in my honest opinion.

The Raming Lodge hotel is in the centre of Chiang Mai, and is very convenient for the Night bazaar. There are many shops and restaurants locally, all of which serve very reasonably priced food. It is possible to explore much of the main areas of Chiang Mai from the hotel. The rooms were very comfortable. We had adjoining rooms which was useful, even though our children are older. There is now a swimming pool behind the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay here.
Raming Lodge was a very comfortable hotel in the centre of Chiang Mai.
Breakfast was not as good as in some of the other hotels we stayed in.
- Hotel Feature Tip : Free transport to the airport.

If you need to do laundry, don't do it at the hotel. Take the first soi you come across while walking towards the night market and they have a nice laundry lady who charges 30 baht per kilo of laundry. The hotel charges 30-70 baht per item.
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : We hired a van with personal driver instead of doing package tours. Cost was only 2,000 baht per day plus gas, and gas for 2 days of driving all over the place was only another 1,000 baht. We used Remember Travel/Tours. Great way to see only what you want to see, and on your schedule. No feeling of being rushed, and if you have more than 2 people in your group, probably cheaper than a package tour.
