Fabulous Boutique Style Hotel

The most fabulous hotel..........quiet yet convenient for down-town Chiang Mai. Good for couples or kids as it all circulates around the relaxing swimming pool area where the sunbeds are luxurious and they even have inflatable toys for kids or the grown up kids. They can arrange anything here- even complimentary bikes. Breakfast was a delight.

We loved this hotel from the beginning. We were welcomed by 4 hotel workers who immediately made us feel like we were going back home after our one week driving in the Mae Hong Son loop. The room was very large, the bed was the most comfortable and the sheets and duvet soft and of good quality. We were given bicycle to tour the city (they even had a child seats on one of the bicycles). From there it is easy to reach a great area with galleries, shops and most beautiful the river with bridges and restaurants. The breakfast was to die for, very healthy and great quality. We tried their lunch which was scrumptious and inexpensive. The swimming pool has salted water and they let us stay beyond our check out time. Every requests is immediately tended to. We highly recommend this hotel for every kind of traveller and we definitely will be back.

The staff were always smiling and could not do enough to help. The room was well appointed and comfortable. The quality of food in the restaurant was excellent and very reasonably priced

The hotel is near the Iron Bridge over the River Ping and about 5 mins walk from the Night Bazaar area which is also the location during the day of many pubs and restaurants. It has a fairly large swimming pool and a garden area surrounding it. It is located on Soi 2 which is not a road but a lane along which only motor cycles can pass so it is very quiet at night
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
If going to Tiger Kingdom only pay to visit for one or two sizes of Tigers - the animals are all pretty bored and just lie there while you rub their tummies

All staff bent over backwards to help, guide and make our stay a wonderful experience. It was my birthday during my stay and to our suprise they'd noted this when looking at our passports as we checked in and put a fabulous cake, iced with my name on in our room!!!!
Locality is great. Bars, restaurants and shops close by and a short tuck tuck drive or twenty minute stroll away from the city centre. Decent sized swimming pool which was kept perfectly clean.
Don't hesitate to book this hotel.
Shopping Tip:
Rimping Supermaket (a 2 minute walk away) sells everything you'd want. Vietnamese restaurant close by sells lovely food.

This is without doubt the loveliest hotel I have ever stayed at and i have stayed at some very fancy hotels in my life. This hotel has all the facilities of the standard you would expect from a good 4* hotel, but what makes it so special is the feel of the place (it feels like home) and the staff (they feel like family). If you stay anywhere in Chiang Mai - make sure its the Rimping Village.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Go trekking with Lowey Suksabai - arrange through toursbylocals.com before you go - he is wonderful

We came to Thailand for 27 days,staying here 5 nights,overall this was the best hotel we stayed at.But the best part of this hotel was the staff.They were a credit to the hotel and Thailand.We will be coming back to Thailand(this was our second visit),and will come back to this hotel.

Rimping Village is a blast from the past. It's a beautiful bungalow style type hotel. The room was exceptionally clean and completely comfortable. The staff was incredible- extremely attentive and helpful. We stayed at three different hotels in Thailand and by far this one was the best and spoiled us the most.

Upon arrival my husband commented on what a nice feeling the Rimpling had and during our stay this was only enhanced. Unfortunately we had previously booked at another (much more expensive) hotel and could only stay at the Rimpling 2 days. This was to our regret. The Rimpling's care and attention for guests has been the best of our 5 week tour.The hotel's provision of bikes was a real bonus, opening access to the lovely lanes and by ways around the hotel. The staff are absolutely wonderful and in a way which makes you feel pretty special. When we left we were given complimentary transport to our next location which has paled by comparison to the Rimpling. we cannot recommend this hotel too highly. It is value for money and possibly has set a high benchmark.
