Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Lovely quiet resort, out of the way but manageable
Really nice staff, massive rooms, great pool
9.7
First time in Chiang Mai so didn't know which area was best to stay. This ended up being a few kilometers from the old city itself (maybe one or two), but was only a 100-150 baht tuk tuk to the city centre. I really liked the quietness of the area compared to the busyness of the old city. The rooms were huge with a desk, large bed, living area, terrace, bathroom and dressing area. Massive TV as well. Good range of room amenities. The pool area was so nice and relaxing. The breakfast was quite good as well with a choice of either American (eggs toast) or fried rice with miso soup or Japanese (baked fish with miso soup). The staff were super friendly and made me want to stay longer. Overall I really liked this place. I think because of the location it is generally a really quiet hotel which made it that much nicer to stay in. Would definitely recommend.
Nightlife Tip:
Don't pay more than 150 baht to get to the old city

Nice hotel but wrong map information
7.3
1. This is a well designed hotel
2. The breakfast is fine.
3. The biggest mistake agoda and the hotel made is giving the wrong information about the location of the hotel on the map.
According to the map, it should be very near the old city, but in reality, it's very far on the Sangampang road, and it will even take 200B from the hotel to old city by taxi. So, Attention
4. not so many shops around the hotel. Quite inconvinent.
5. Wifi is not working very well. Bath water can work well after several minutes.
6. To the hotel itself, it's a good hotel.
Shopping Tip:

Nice resort but our room was poor
Hotel surroundings with many trees and flowers.
4.7
The resort itself is nice, but our room was really poor, just behind the reception and therefore quite noisy.
The wireless internet was not working to many times.
When checking in, the receptionist first didn't know about our booking, after 5 minutes suddenly she knows.
We were offered to have the breakfast on the room, which we wanted to try one time. But they were afraid to knock on the door and just put the breakfast in front of the door.
The swimming pool had an electric light broken so that the cable and light was not fixed anymore. Maybe it has never been a safety problem, but you didnt want to swim in there.

Not near anything. Staff does not speak English. But we hired Tana the concierge for 2 days. She made our trip the best ever. We learned all about the area and she took us on great tours.
Restaurant Tip:
At the corner to the left is a stand which has the best food I've ever eatten.

Peaceful setting but far from old city
Beautiful, peaceful garden at the entrance of the hotel
5
The hotel would suit those looking to be further away from the "hustle and bustle" of the city centre and just want to relax. There is not much interesting around the hotel area. We didn't see any other guests staying in the hotel so it felt empty/dead.
The room was large/bright and there was a lounge/common area right outside our room. Bathroom needs upgrading as it looked a bit old/worn. The wifi was very very slow. The in-room safe is old/clunky (with a key instead of digital password).
The ladies at the reception tried to be nice/friendly but spoke very limited English.

Nice hotel, but a little out of town
Clean rooms, nice gardens, friendly staff
5
This hotel is cute, although a little old, bit still well maintained and clean. The hotel is well worth the price. Unfortunately it is a little out of town, so if you don't have your woen car then will be difficult to get around. Lots of street hawker food stalls out by the main road. Breakfast was al la carte and was standard. Will return to this hotel again.

Beautiful setting.... ruined by the noise
The grounds were about as nice as any place I've stayed...
4
unfortunately the solitude and setting were ruined by the noise from the adjacent industrial park.
the "non-smoking" rooms had the stench of smoke in the air-con... the buggers didn't even bother to go outside to smoke. the pool was filthy and unswimmable and there were no plans to clean it during low season. the breakfast is japanese... period, so no options. the hotel is east of town past the main highway and our tuktuk driver wanted 200 baht once we showed him how to get there...the agreed upon price was 100.
Travel tip:
Don't bother with the Neil Tara, stay someplace close to the night bazaar
