It is a little ways from most things in town, but there are usually tuk-tuks at the front ready to take you anywhere.

  • Shopping Tip : Don't forget the night bazaar and Sunday night walking street.

Thre are other hotels in the locale that offer better location, amentities and accomodation at a price that is not much higher than here. Not really suited to young families due to location and room condition. Staff are a highpoint, being extremely helpful and polite. When we elected not to stay, they agreed with our decision and then ensured we had a taxi waiting for us and the address of other more suitable properties. If you are on a budget and not looking for 4 or 5 star digs and don't mind being out of the way of things, this may well be a great choice.

I would certainly stay again at this hotel as it really provides excellent value for the money!

  • Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The tuk tuk is only normally 15 baht per person to town centre from the hotel. So be informed!

A good spank of paint and a touch of decoration will make the place an above 3 stars hotel.

The hotel is outside the old city walls, so you needed to catch a tuk-tuk or take a 20 minute walk into the night markets - but you do pass a lot of interesting shops on the way!

  • Restaurant Tip : Just up the road there is an open air seafood resturant with an all you can eat buffet (every night) that is very popular with the locals

Not all taxi drivers know this hotel. A hotel next to this seemed to be well-known.

  • Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : I could not see rent-a-bike shop near the hotel. Suggest to go to central area of old Chiang Mai castle (?) where weekend market is held. If walk to that area, takes 30min.
