Royal Princess Chiangmai is well-located in the midst of the night bazaar area. It is fairly near the airport, and come night time, we will go walk around the night market there. Service is great! We were upgraded to a bigger room on the highest floor. It was a great stay.

This was my third stay at the hotel which is managed by Dusit Thani management. Unfortunately, the room and service does not meet my expectation for Dusit Thani. No color in the room, no small but distinctive present left in the evening.

this is supposed to be a 4 star property, but it is only 3 star. the air con. has only two positions, on and off, despite the "guage" on the wall. beds, and showers are very important to me, and they failed miserably in the latter with poor water pressure. as with all dusit hotels the staff were very professional, but i will not choose this hotel again.

We were greeted by friendly, warm and extremely polite staff and a glass of apple juice - so nice! We were also upgraded to the premium floor, despite only paying about 47 dollars CAD for the room. We had an amazing view of the Anusan night market. The pool was great and so were the cocktails! Very good value in a great location in Chiang Mai - would stay here again for sure.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Anusan night market has a free drag cabaret show every night at 9pm - you just have to buy one drink - it is open air, fun and a real hoot!

Very disappointing
Right in the middle of the Night Bazarr

We arrived with a minibus after a drive from Chiang Rai. Two couples and small child. The security were abrupt bordering on offensive. Rather than unloading at the front of the hotel directly into the lobby we were forced down into the underground car park. Little or no help carrying our bags up to the lobby.
Check in took ages.
We get to our rooms and though we'd asked for 1 Honeymoon room, both rooms were set up with petals on the bed. All very good but it kinda ruined the effect for the recently married couple.
We were all a bit dismayed with the rooms. "Deluxe" they certainly were not. We pulled back the curtains and were faced with another hotel wall 4 meters away. No view at all.
We asked about rooms with a vies and were told the only "deluxe" rooms with a view had 2 single beds ! You can't move beds?
Anyway, they's also forgotten the extra bed for the child and, when we remonstrated with them we were told it would be another 800bht. At this point we were ready to leave. Mother of child, however, was too tired to move so we agreed. We moved in.
The A/C in our room didn't work at all. We asked them to fix it. Nothing happened. We asked again the next day and the room became an icebox. The thermostat did nothing and all we got was ice cold air at every setting.
Tea and coffee in the room, as you'd expect = 2 small tubes of coffee + 2 tea bags. We asked for more. None came, so we went to the 7/11.
So all in all, never again.
Room service = absolutely extortionate.
Breakfast = didn't have any included in the deal and having had a look it it we were far better off eating out.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
If all you want to do is shop in the Night Bazaar the location is perfect.

Shopping and more shopping. We booked an additional night as there was so much to do in Chiang Mai. The hotel lobby was spacious and two computers were offered for customer use but only one of them was working. Typical with Thailand in general the WiFi is wanting. Courteous staff with a very helpful concierge desk make our stay very stress free.

The outside facade and hotel lobby does not reflect the lovely rooms in the hotel. Hotel is in a very good location, in the central of the night bazaar and also surrounded by both good local and western fast food, and shops.
