Swimming pool was really nice and looked clean - a real treat in the evening. The personnel should care more about guests than their phones.

The hotel could be nice, it has pool, nice public areas and okay design. However the standard is poor, bad service, no wifi in the rooms. There are better places nearby for half the price.

Solo travelers United States of America, April 14, 2013	Bed Bugs Only good thing about the hotel is it's location within the city walls 6.3 The only good thing about this hotel is the location within the walls of the old city. It's a short walk to Taipei Gate and the market. But when I checked in and took a nap, I woke to find bed bugs. I had my room changed and that one also was infested. It seemed that the staff knew but didn't care. I will not every stay there again.

Ashley L. Couples Canada, March 20, 2013	Nice room, except for bedbugs Swimming pool, large rooms, location 6.3 Our room was exceptionally clean except there was a major bedbug infestation. We woke up every morning with dozens of new, itchy bites. If there were no bedbugs, I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone - but with them, it was almost unbearable to sleep in the bed. Also, the free wifi is actually limited to one hour per day, and you need to ask for two 30 minute access codes from the front desk everyday - this was a little annoying, but bearable. The wifi is fast, but keeps dropping off - Skype calls were impossible.

Unfortunately we had to share a double. The staff did not care at all as they already had our money. This is a great place for singles and couples but would not recommend for friends traveling together.

Groups Australia, February 04, 2013	Great location and pool, room was pretty shabby Location, pool and seating area outside 5.7 i was fine staying here overall, but the room seemed to get wore the more i stayed - i noticed more of the problems. hoever i loved the outdoor seating area where we could meet our friends before leaving and that there was a pool. other places with pools cost more. for price, i think all the problems are going to come with it, even though i've paid less and received more in thailand. chiang mai is a little more expensive than some places though. i dont expect too much from the budget hotel, but i have had better standards for less. the room was damp and mould growing on the wall where one of the beds was pushed right up against it. the bathroom had a hole in the wall to let the pipes in and went straight outside. this was covered with plastic taped to the wall and by the second day a rat or mouse had chewed through this pastic. there is a window leading out the bathroom showing the next building that was kind of funny, but to be expected. its when you hear the gushing sound whenever you have the water running and stick your head out and look down to investigate - all the waste water runs between the two buildings and explains the bad smell in the place. the towels are very basic (thin), but this isnt a real issue, just bring your own. they were having trouble with the included free wifi at the hotel, and so were using the paid wifi and offfering that to us. its great to have free wifi, but there was a password you had to enter all the time and sometimes didnt work. Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Doi Se Tep Temple Night Bazaaar Saturday and Sunday Street Markets Local Market Blue Diamond cafe, further up the dogleg road from SK 1. Great fresh food, variety of western and asian cuisine and fresh teas (actual ginger, lime and honey tea - delicious). The outside seating area is lovely, with gardens behind the front fence.
