Very convenient location, dark but clean rooms

the guest house is located in the back of a fancier hotel. the location is perfect for enjoying the sunday walking street market and other attractions around chiang mai. the rooms are not really suitable for spending much time in, but are perfectly comfortable for sleeping and other basic needs. the bed was clean and comfortable, and the staff from the hotel up front was very friendly and kind.

I loved my stay at Sparrow 'Nest. The staff make sure that all was well and they were very kind all the time. The location was ideal for me, right in the center of the Old City, near the main temples and at night was fairly quiet. In the hotel there are yoga classes at a very reasonable price and the teacher is excellent, I recommend seriously to participate.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Is better to rent a bicycle or a scooter to go around town.

the guesthouse is located beside the sunday walking street. the great location made us pretty easy to shop on the market till very late. inside the old city, there are a lot of attractions e.g. old temples, night food and a bar opens till 1am.
the room is basic with old furniture. the tv is cute but did not work. the best thing is that it has a private bathroom. one concern is that we saw the corner of the ceiling is transparent for the bedroom and bathroom. you get what you pay for. i think it is quite worthy.

the location of the guest house is very great which is in the middle of old city, it is behind a hotel called duang champa with the same reception. the famous massage chain shop named lila is beside the gh, a travel agency is just beside the gh with reasonable price. we enjoyed to stay there in two days, the gh provided two bottles of water every day, the breakfast is great too, especially the omelette.

Perfect location in the old city. Friendly and prompt service. very helpful when a medical problem occurred.

The rooms are basic but clean and well maintained by the staff. Breakfast is available in the hotel section and is very good. It is close to some of the best shopping and old city tourist sites. There is a street market outside on Sunday evenings.

Rooms situated around a courtyard area with seating and lighting for relaxing evenings.
Rooms basic but clean. There was the obligatory cockroach but this was removed by staff.
Returned for another night after trekking, although in a single room with shared bathroom. Lucky for me the other room was vacant so had bathroom to myself.
Travel tip:
Temples are so relaxed and peaceful after the hustle of Bangkok. Try Lila massage next door ...wonderful Thai massage after a two night trek.

Located up a small laneway, The Sparrows Nest is actually a small collection of two roomed houses that are owned by a more pricey hotel at the front. The rooms are basic but fine. It's a shared bathroom/shower but while i was there i had the place to myself. There's a very nice garden area for relaxing after a long day temple spotting which has some nice hanging chairs etc. It's in the middle of the old town so close to all the temples and night life. The sunday walking street is literally on it's doorstep also. All in all i was very happy with my stay here
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
There's a lot to see and do in Chiang Mai so make sure you give yourself at least 3 or 4 days min
