Nice Staff In small hotel

I traveled with my father there and we really enjoyed! People where kind, served breakfast anytime everywhere for free. It's far from everything but its really quiet if you want to relax, sleep and take a break. Transportation cost 2 ways 300 baht. Only thing was not good was the pool . It was not clean. But it's a beautiful pool

Definitely NOT what was advertised or described!

I have just returned from Thailand and part of that visit included a stay at Sri Ping.
It was without doubt the worst part of the holiday.
When we arrived the only other guests were a well travelled Dutch couple who were in the process of moving to another place as there were so many things wrong with Sri Ping.They were given a refund by your company. Though this was alarming we thought we would make our own judgement.
Unfortunately we lived to regret this attempt at fairness.
The hotel was 10 k from the city,at least 25/30 mins in a taxi,not what was stated in the literature. The nearest shop was 1 k away. There was no evidence of any restaurant or evening meal facilities,the breakfast was basic and being the only residents eaten in isolation.
The pool was green with slime on all walls,floor and surfaces. I still attempted to swim,though the depth was hardly 1 metre deepThis again was a mistake as I developed an ear infection which I had to have treated in Thailand with anti biotics,did not clear up and is now being dealt with by doctors here in England on return.
The water from the taps came out a dark brown colour.......'because the tanks had been cleaned'......but the same occurred on several days.
The gates of the 'hotel' were closed at 8 at night,this meant that taxi drivers had to know the number to ring a porter to open the gate!
We had to ask for a toilet roll,for replacement shampoo etc,for soap.
We spent 6 nights at Sri Ping and well before the end we were dying to get out. We would have moved with or without a refund or compensation. We spent a full morning looking for alternative accommodation ,but as it was Chinese New Year and there were no vacancies anywhere. We were so desperate at one time
The taxi driver that we used many times(we got to know many drivers and spent many baht travelling in and out of the city) told us that other guests always felt the sam

Lovely, clean hotel, about 20 min out of town

in a very busy week - chinese new year - this hotel gave us a nice base outside town to relax. clean, quiet, with a nice pool and restaurant, the hotel is about 20 min tuc tuc ride out of town, near a run of local restaurants.
the owner is a lovely lady, who is very able to help. staff all very friendly.
a nice find, for the week!

This is a Thai style resort at the Ping river. Nice and quiet, and great personal service. Breakfast and dining is served in a real house. As the location is outside the city, you need to have a car to get there.

Nice big rooms (Nr 102) Bedroom and separate room with table and chairs, good quiet aircon, flexible with breakfast (could have in the afternoon)

+ quiet place south of cm. nice friendly staff. it was nice to use hotel bicycle and drive around the countryside.
- reception and restaurant closed at 2000. swimming pool was too shallow for me to swim (i am 1.81m).
-/+ depending what you are looking for: nearest shops 5 mins with bicycle or 17 mins walking. restaurant only had thai meals on the menu.

nice place, i was the only guest so it was peaceful but the road out the front is very busy. free use of bicycle was good, about 25 minutes to ride into chiang mai city so not that far.i had dinner there a couple of nights which was very good.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Borrow a bicycle, turn right outside the hotel & ride up the road, then turn left at any bridge you come across, great flat roads, very quiet, riding through farmland, it was lovely.

we were very satisfied with our stay at the sri ping resort. the location however was not ideal. located down a quiet road that not too many taxi drivers knew. if you had you own transport and wanted to be close to the airport then this place is great. huge very comfortable rooms, beautifully landscaped and great service. the breakfast was disappointing too. after reading some reviews of a great breakfast buffet we just got some badly cooked ham and eggs and 2 peices of toast. no juice was offered and when i wanted a refill of coffee i had to try to find someone in reception. we normally stay at the holiday inn which we love and a fantastic breakfast buffet but it was full up so i had to search for other options.

Quiet and Secluded, lovely retreat

This hotel is just a 15 minute drive to the middle of chiang mai city but it feels as though your thousands of mile away. The staff is extremely friendly and kind and the rooms are quaint and cute. a great place to escape the stresses of the big city.

Ann was just so helpful and organised transport to and from places. As it was the low season no one else was at the resort so a little quiet as far as meals were concerned.

We had very pleasant time at this place, people are so nice, treat every guest like a family. Rooms are spacious and decorated in thai style, balcony oversee gardens and swimming pool. Swimming pool is beautiful! Location is a bit far from downtown but it's ok since we were seeking a quite place to relax, you can use Mr. bird's tuktuk service - another friendly and warm-hearted thai local. We had great time there and definitely will stay again if we go back!
