Highly recommended
- Travel tip : Walk past the restaurant out to the street then turn left, walk 100 meters to the massage centre on the left and get a massage at less than a quarter of the price than the hotel Spa.

This place isn't a Novotel style accommodation.
It has personal feel, and little extras (such as a scroll explaining a thai custom) which appeared in our room in the morning, added to enjoyment.
- Hotel Feature Tip : Tour booked through the Hotel was better than the one we booked online before we went.

The Spa is a must. Also 'Sunday Walking Street', a kind of city center flea market on Sunday afternoon/evening is really enjoyable.

Great hotel with a cool Thai atmosphere. Very friendly staff who make everything easy for you. It's like an oasis of calm in the middle of Chiang Mai!
- Shopping Tip : The Sunday Street Market is great as it's right on the doorstep of The Tamarind Village.

The hotel premises surround a beautiful old Tamarind tree. The staff seem to enjoy working at the hotel and were happy to point out all of the hotel features and details to us. There's a spa onsite, which we didn't use in the end, but it looked quite nice. The breakfast buffet included was quite expensive and the poolside outside dining is a unique touch that you won't find in most hotels offering free breakfast. In short, we found no serious faults with the hotel.
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Checkout all of the temples that are within walking distance of the hotel. When you become too tired, take a Tuk-Tuk. Mornings were cool and afternoons were HOT, so keep this in mind for planning walking tours and other activties.

The resort is near the city center and near to many wats too. A good tuk-tuk service to go around the city is just out of the resort entrance. Great international breakfast with very good service.

I loved the quiet, lush grounds of this place, and the sense of escape from the outside world (especially since it's off a noisy main road in the middle of the city). It's a great jumping-off point to exploring the Old City on foot, or to other daytrips outside Chiang Mai. There are several coffee shops and cafes very nearby if you want to go "off-campus," too.
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The hotel is right on Rachadamnern Road, where the Sunday night "walking market" is held. Very convenient! Also, don't miss the many boutique shops & Siam Celadon Tea Shop just a short walk down Thapae Road!
