staff were really nice but it was way too far away
the place is perfect if you want peace and quiet
3.7
we were a bit stuck with this hotel, although the rooms are quite nice, when we first arrived we actually wanted to leave. we booked online and didnt know the location was so far away! its about half an hour to 45mins away from the center. also we didnt see a single person in the whole resort which made us a bit uneasy. the pool was also being fixed so there was absolutely nothing to do! there is no breakfast being served, no room service! its literally a resort with not a single person there! great if you want peace and quiet and are planning to do nothing with your day. on our first night we also found a massive spider in the room which was apparently poisonous!

i stayed here for the weekend to be away from busy area. the place is clean and quiet. there are restaurants and a supermarket near by which made it convenient for buying foods.

Very good hotel especially for family with children. big room with separated living room. All wooden floor and clean. I love rest room with outdoor shower, sexy due to can see from bedroom. Close to tour place such as royal flora, night safari, samueng. Botanic garden, etc. and airport.
Restaurant Tip:
You will have a choice for food at shopping mall close to hotel.

Big room with separate living and kitchen area
Just outside of Chiang Mai, quiet location, nice garden pool, large room
6
we enjoyed the taraburi for a short getaway. the separate living area was ideal for a 3 day stay so we didn't have to sit on the bed for 3 days. the bathroom had a tub but the shower was outside which was a unique experience. lounging by the pool was delightful with the surrounding garden. we found the nearby rosewood restaurant excellent for dinner. the hotel breakfast was ok but not exceptional. a nice stay but not luxurious.

i liked the style of this hotel that decorate in lanna style of chiang mai. located where this hotel is at is not too far from the city of chiang mai, just only 8 kilo. also, this place closes to minimart, you don't have to worry about driving far to find a restaurant. the room is large , there are living room, dinning table and bedroom. also what i liked the most is an outdoor shower. however, there is no cable. you could only watch 1 or 2 channels.

Peaceful and spacious room
Room is spacious and hotel is next to paddy field
9
staffs are very helpful. they let me check in early. the room is spacious.
the hotel is located in the tarndong village which is quiet and located next to paddy field.
if you have trouble finding the signs for hotel or tarndong village, look for sign for "gad farang" literally means "foreigner market" and then pass through the market for about 200 m you will start seeing the sign for the hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
For those of you who do not wish to rent a car or do not drive to the hotel. Please avoid "Red Song Taew" or a famous Chiang Mai red pickup truck that they have converted into a taxi/bus. They will ask for ridiculous fare as high as 500THB. The Tuk-Tuk may charge you 200THB. Taxi meter is a good option it cost me 200THB from the Chiang Mai bus terminal to the hotel.
However, if you are not in a rush and would like to explore local way of life, I suggest you get on the "Red Song Taew" and ask to be drop off at Chiang Mai Gate (fare may be 20-30THB). When you are at the Chiang Mai Gate you will see a queue "Yellow Song Taew" which will travel south. Get on it and ask the driver to drop you off at Gad Farang. The fair is about 15-17THB. The driver may wait till the bus is full before he begin the journey.

A nice retreat for small holiday
Spacious room &friendly staff
9.7
The resort is quite small with approximately 20-23 rooms which I like because it is not too big and it allows more space for privacy. Each room is quite large with living room, bedroom, dining area, a balcony, a bathroom (seperate bathtub and open-air rain shower) and kitchenette. I had a little problem of weak Wifi signal in my room, but that was alright, I needs a break from my work anyway. Swimming pool is small but nice and clean. Breakfast was not a buffet but we have a fine made-as-ordered kind of dish. All staff I met there are nice and friendly. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and it was definitely a retreat from my hectic week. (Those who need to explore Chiang Mai might need a car to get there and around though)

Quiet hotel but needs refurbishment
4
location: the hotel is off the main road around 500m to 1000m away. it's not exactly a pleasant walk in the heat and is difficult to get around as public transport is not that convient there. you will definately need access to a car.
design: the furniture is quite old, using teak wooden design - but alof of the furnishing look rundown and due for an update. not exactly my cup of tea.
staff: a fair number of ladyboys working there which depends on what you like....
room size - very spacious!
Shopping Tip:
Kad farang market is open every wednesday night on the main street
