Rooms small but well appointed. Great location. Great ambiance. Staff very helpful. Feeling was very helpful.

Some of the rooms by the road may be noisy.

This was my first time to stay at a Chedi hotel and I was very impressed. The hotel has a very good ambiance about it and the staff are excellent. I have stayed in many hotels in Thailand and would rate this as one of my best experiences and if I return to Chiang Mai I will definitely choose the Chedi again. I only had my breakfasts in the hotel (choosing to have my main meals in local restaurants) but the quality of the breakfast and the location by the river was great. I would strongly recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a well located 5 star boutique experience in Chiang Mai.

Restaurant Tip : Walking distance to excellent restaurants.

Everything-the concierge service, the breakfasts, the pool, the location

Watch out for the mosquitoes, so even tho i would have loved to sit on the balcony, you really are running a risk.

This hotel is lovely-they were so helpful with several things-from a guide at sunrise to changing a flight.

1.Very convenient.

Expensive.

Service is not so nice. There are too many mosquitoes in the room. We can hear the voice from next room. I think that it doesn't worth to pay this price to stay here. Although their service is professional but their altitude need more passion which I think being staff of 5 stars hotel should be prepared.

The suite room is recommended. Not recommended to people who just want to sleep in a room because you can find other affordable and convenient hotels in the center of Chiang Mai.

Calm and relax.... even though it rains during your stay, you can enjoy. I loved the balcony facing yard.

Nothing special around the hotel.

Spa and pool were really good. Good access from airport. I will choose this hotel next time too.

I liked the personalized service. The hotel is small and they remember you. I got good advice on touring that allowed me to do what I wanted and they saved me money.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : See elephant camp and hill tribes. You can do it in one day.

Excellent hotel, a little pricey, but in terms of what the hotel offers, you get what you pay for, and the pool service is excellent.

Specious and beautifully designed room. Excellent service.

a garden shower attached to the room would make this hotel perfect!

Everything about this hotel is beautiful! The hotel itself is a piece of art which was carefully and tastfully designed for those who is seeking for tranquility and elegance. The designer was very smart to hide the "Thai Touch" in all details ---- you can sense it, feel it without soring your eyes....

Travel tip : Enjoy this hotel as much as you can.....

location funky design

cold pool

funky modern hotel set in the grounds of the old British consulate which has been kept as a bar. From the street you just see a blank facade, everything points inwards,it works very well. Rooms are not huge but adequate. Breakfast is very good, evening restaurant expensive, the lap pool is unheated and chilly, location is great as you can walk to most things.

Travel tip : you must eat khao soy in chiang mai

I always visit the Chedi when I travel to Thailand and am never, ever, disappointed. The room facilities and service are beyond description. Yes, you can stay at the Four Seasons (too far out of town for me) but you will pay too much for a comparable stay. I just got back and will return in June, but will stay at least a week at Chedi, to luxuriate.

Hotel Feature Tip : For first time visitors to Chiang Mai, do not hesitate to book tours, transfers, or anything else through the hotel. Good value and trustworthy recommendations.

After approaching management, we got the feeling that they were more concerned about not offending the designer of the hotel than they were to rectify the physical problems. The amenities are the same whether you occupy a suite or the deluxe rooms. The "personal" touch is clearly missing. Evening restaurant service was very poor as well as the bar service. They are always friendly but in clear need of leadership. The New Years dinner was the only thing that was well done albeit extremely costly.

Shopping Tip : Night Bazaar within walking distance
