The Granary Resort Chiang Mai Info
On the outskirts of the city is this gem of a hotel with two-story teak huts surrounded by gardens, orchids and pools. Each room or granary (rice mill) is constructed out of teak with handmade and antique teak furniture. The open-air bathrooms have rain showers, bathrobes and slippers. You can choose to view the pool, river, or gardens from your elegant and luxurious room as you nibble on exotic fruit from the basket. The American breakfast starts the day’s sightseeing activities to the elephant conservatory, Wats, and trekking through beautiful countryside. The nearby hill tribes are worth an afternoon or full day visit. Lanna means one million rice fields and refers to this northern Thai kingdom founded in 1296. Just something to contemplate as you enjoy the free form pool and relax in your patio rocking chair.

The traditional style of the accommodation - lovely teak houses with plenty of space and comfort. The staff are just lovely too. Quiet riverside location.
This is a remote location, which is what appealed to me...nothing to do, nowhere to go. However, it is a bit limited when it comes to dinner as they only offer a set multi-course menu.
Small and intimate resort about 15 minutes out of town, makes this ideal if you want a peaceful escape. I stayed in one of the river front houses, and loved the private terrace and bathtub overlooking the river. It's a bit difficult for taxi drivers to find, however easy enough when they call for instructions. If you want to be in the middle of things, this isn't a good location. If you prefer to be away from the city though, it's just perfect.

The hotel is situated in a lovely couple, surrounded by nature. The cabins are amazing, everything from wood, luxury asiatico. The customer service is wonderful, very attentive and always willing to help at all, until the last day took us to the bus station and we bought tickets and everything so we had no problems with the language. We are the only detail, every day more details or better. We left a laptop to surf the internet for free all day, excellent breakfast, we were 21 days in Thailand and the best memory of the hotels we bring to this, come back safe, highly recommended.
