Surrounded by mountains and rice fields sitting in the Mae-On Valley, this resort lets you experience nature. Explore the surrounding area with treks or bike excursions, take a class in Thai cooking or Muay Thai, and if you are looking for some thrill, why not opt for rock climbing or waterfall abseiling. While at the resort itself, relax by the paddy fields, opt for a traditional Thai massage or go for a swim. And from here, getting into the city is fairly simple, with the resort provided shuttle service running to and from the Night Market. With just 12 cottages, the service is personalized and the experience private. Experience the charm of Thai village living with a stay at the calm and relaxing Oriental Village.
Children and extra beds:Guests over 18 years old are considered as adults. Extra beds are dependent on the room you choose, please check the individual room policy for more details.

The owner and staff are very friendly. The food was enjoyable. Birds chirping in the background. Bungalow was comfortable and spacious. Swimming pool was very nice. Would come again and thank you to Paul the owner for taking us back to Chiang Mai.

A welcoming hotel with a lot of charm!
The staff was so friendly and willing to make "your" stay what you wanted it to be. Beautiful countryside of Northern ChiangMai. Little Villages nearby. Local and friendly people. Mountainside. Fresh air. Relaxing. Great cook! Bikes and motor bikes can be rented for day trips. Pool!!! Rice Patties.

I had the privilege to be there when there were 2 interns assisting the owner during the busy season in January. They were so generous to make sure you felt welcome. They answered my many questions, showed me around the cave and hot springs, served me at meals, and talked to me when I just wanted to visit.
Great place to just relax, do business on wi-fi, hang out by the clean pool side in the sun (the water was cold, but who needs water when you just want a tan??), enjoy the countryside and fresh air.
There are two showers in your place - one outdoors (water is very cool, but refreshing after laying in the sun) and one indoors with HOT water. Large bathroom, but no tub if that is your inspiration to unwind.
Was a PERFECT choice to unwind before I hit the city for a convention.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Beware, if you don't like the chilly mountain air at night or to wake up by the crow of roosters, then be careful not to forget your ear plugs or sweats.
Also, the hotel will get you a ride to town or to the airport, but the average cost will be between 500 - 600 Baht. This is typical since it is almost 45KM from downtown Chiang Mai. Price you pay to get away from it all!

Paradise in the tranquil Mae On Valley
9.3
Beautiful bungalows in gorgeous countryside. A really relaxing place.
The attention to detail in the design of this place is lovely, from the private outdoor showers adjoining the rooms, to the unique tiling, decor and window seats in the bungalows. It is such a tranquil setting. We extended our stay almost immediately.
The kids really enjoyed the pool and the amazing pancakes!
I hired a bike to explore some of the surrounding area and found a quiet, friendly valley with hidden temples and tiny villages.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
From here it is easy to visit the hot springs, where you can cook eggs in the water.
