Nice hotel, great location, small, but mighty!

The hotel itself is very beautiful with its charm on Thai arts and architecture. Very pleasant to look at. Things that I think can be improved are:
1. Restaurant: It was going through a transition of new chefs and, therefore; menu was very limited with selections. Upstairs is not well maintained and covered with seat covers, making it look like a deserted restaurant.
2. Bath towels: very rough like sand papers. Some fabric softener would be lovely.

Lovely rooms in a quiet setting

i enjoyed my stay at rim chiang mai. my room was pleasant, bed quite comfortable and the staff very helpful. the hotel restaurant was also fine, though the breakfast offerings were less than at some other hotels i have frequented in chiang mai. the advertised fitness center is not a fitness center and definitely overstated.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
It is a bit of a walk through the center of old Chiang Mai to reach the Thai Pae Gate but the walk takes you past one of the largest temples in the old city and a number of restaurants and coffee shops.

beautiful architecture and good location for a fun stay in chaing mai.
3rd time in this city and glad we found the rim hotel. staff very friendly and professional. they were so helpful and fluent in english. loved the pool especially at night it was so beautiful.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Use red trucks versus tuk tuks. At least you know what you will pay. Tuk tuk drivers never have change?

the rim chiang mai is a very beautiful hotel, the staff is very accommodating and patient. we had a standard room which was good, i in particular loved the bathroom (spacious and lovely design). breakfast was great with a lot of choices.
location was top, you can either walk or talk a tuk tuk. i would come again.

Beautiful hotel and service with a smile
oasis in the middle of chiang mai

when we arrived at the rim hotel we were greeted by a lovely smile, a refreshing towel and a lemongrass tea. we were taken to our rooms and they were even nicer than the photographs. the hotel is like an oasis in the middle of chiang mai. each day we would go out among the crowds and the hustle and bustle and we would return to peace and tranquillity. i highly recommend this hotel the staff were just great and we would definately go back there again.
