Friendly boutique hotel in great location

This was our third visit, and we will continue to stay there because we like the style, location and price. One small note: I accidentally dropped the bottle of FREE water, and was charged for the broken bottle upon checking out! Also, the young man tending bar in the evening has little experience mixing cocktails and thus is very slow with service...but that is not unusual in Thailand.

Great location with a nice room

i'd stayed in the small chiang mai hotel for 4 nights. i was very happy to choose this hotel to stay. it's very good location where is very close to night market, only 3-5 minutes walk. the room is clean and i love the painting above a bed. if i go to chiang mai next time i will stay in the small chiang mai hotel again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Chiang Mai has many places for tourists to visit. I love to travel to Chiang Mai in winter time becaue the weather is very beautiful.

the hotel is located in town withing walking distance of market and shopping. best place to stay for travellers by plane. No direct hotel parking space but walking distance parking (using other's parking space). hotel rooms are nice and fashion look.

Great Hotel and Great Location
The location cannot be beat. Nice clean rooms. Quaint Pool.

the location is great. not too far from the sites and not too far from the bus station and airport. i recommend the hotel if travelling alone or for business. breakfast was good but a little chilly being on the roof. i would stay here again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Step outside and there are temples to the right and temples to the left. Plenty of places to sightsee.

Nice hotel. A bit noisy at night. Poor breakfast.

This is a nice little hotel about 5 minutes walk for the night market. The receptionist overcharged us when we asked her to order a taxi for us. Breakfasts were a bit disappointing. There is a nice old tea house just next to the hotel and another nice little coffee shop a few blocks away in the opposite direction.

Pleasant hotel and very well located

The hotel is pleasant and adequate. It is very well located...just a short walk to the day, flower, night and Sunday markets. We did not include breakfast in our booking, so I am not able to comment about meals in the hotel.
The only thing that my wife and I had difficulty with were the towels...they smell bad. I would suggest the management look into this as it is not a difficult problem to solve.
Overall my family and I enjoyed our stay at The Small Hotel and we would certainly consider staying there again IF something is done to improve the towels.
