Lovely hotel and good loction for a small price
Clean attractive room, good location, accomodating staff, fast Wifi

found this hotel on the internet and was not disappointed with the quality/price ration. the only negative was the breakfast which is included and the swimming pool. the buffet had tired fruit (pineapple and watermelon only), uninteresting noodles one day and uninteresting rice another. the omelets made to order were nicely done though. the pool is minuscule and not even worth a visit. but i would stay there again. chiang mai isn't a place i go to to use hotel swimming pools.
Nightlife Tip:
Walking distance to the night market without the noise and inconvenience of being right there.

The room is very tiny and look nothing like pictures on website.
The actual hotel is nice but very hot as no air con in hotel only in rooms.
The swimming pool is very disappointing, about the size of a spa bath and very shallow. about waist height.
The breakfast is very simple and not much to choose from.
Parking if you have a car is quite a long walk away and not with hotel.
I have stayed in allot of hotels and for the price I would not recommend this hotel.

This hotel is strategically located, near to:
a) weekend night market
b) daily night bazaar
c) old town.
Hotel breakfast is acceptable, at roof tops, most of the visitors are foreigners.
Cons abt this hotel, pool too small, i would said it is a jacuzzi pool instead of swimming pool.
Overall it is a good hotel.

A nice comfortable Hotel in a good location
The staff were friendly and efficient. Adequate facilities supplied in the room like DVD player, electric jug, tea, coffee, sugar and cream provided. The room was small but adequate and comfortable. A 5 minute walk to the night bazaar. The plunge pool served it's purpose. Good value for money. The showers (yes 2 one big and one small) was an experience The big overhead one was cleansing but I found I used the small flexible one more. The buffet breakfast was filling enough.

the location was ok on the main road but our room was quiet. it was very handy to the night bazaar. a few ways to get around, red buses, tuk-tuks and taxis and all available outside the front of the small hotel. the hotel has a small lobby bar for a pre-dinner or pre-walk drink. a very handy location.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
We found a lady Tuk-Tuk driver who was very helpful and for a moderate cost took us on a few adventures like a Temple Tour, drove us to the Zoo and picked us up after. Took us to an out of town Thai Buffet. We think using the one person has many advantages.

Good location but small rooms & average services
Good location and cheap rooms
5.7
We got the rooms very cheap from agoda special promotion, I wouldn't pay any more than that. The location is good, within walking distance from Tha Pae Gate and Sunday walking street, and stone throw from Night Bazarr and Warorot marget. The rooms are quite small but you get every basic things you need ie. A/C, hot water. The staff's English are not very good (or even Thai, don't ask their advice about where you should go or direction. They directed us to the opposit side of town when we asked the direction to train station)The services are average, they called us after we checked out and say that the bed sheets are too dirty, they will have to send them to laundry company and want us to go back and pay for that! I told them that's what we paid our rooms for and there's no way we paying for that.
Restaurant Tip:
Walk 5 mins across Nawarat bridge to those lovely restaurant and coffee shop by the river. Hotel bar is cheap and good for pre dinner drinks.

Nice clean hotel in downtown Chiang Mai
Friendly staff in a good location
8
Although the hotel is called the 'Small Hotel' it isn't really - the rooms are clean and a very good size, with tiled floors, TV, A/C, en suite shower and WC. There's a large lobby, with internet (not free) and a bar serving fruit juices and cocktails. There's a swimming pool on the 3rd floor (very tiny pool - more like a giant sized foot bath), but it never seemed to be busy so it got the job done (cooling down after a hot day). The hotel offers trips and activities, but the staff don't force these on you. It is situated just round the corner from two markets, where you can buy food and go to restaurants. It's very handy for seeing the sights in the city centre. There's a small parking area at the front, so if (like me) you want to hire a bike, you can keep it safe here. Breakfast is ok - they serve a range of breakfast fare (toast, eggs, fruit, tea, coffee, fruit juice and some thai dishes). Its free so I'm not complaining.

Great breakfast selection
7.7
We stayed here for 2 nights, and arrived early 8am. Our room was not ready at that time, but when we checked at 9:30am, they had a room for us, which was nice. Room was spacious. Bathroom was nice but needed a good clean, but didnt expect much as it was cheap. They had a wonderful breakfast selection. Walking distance to the night markets and to the canal for bars and restuarants.
