Tri Yaan Na Ros's Architecture.
The building's character combines influences of Chinese housing, the lifestyle of the native Lanna people and continental architecture. All building materials are from our native province of Chiang Mai so as to be in perfect keeping with our climate and also to retain a true sense of Lanna history.

great place for retreat and unwind from busy life.
The whole colonial ambiances.
The friendly staff.
Good value for money.
The place was beautifully restored old houses by owner's architect son.
The pool in the courtyard is great place to unwind and relax.
We loved whole colonial ambiances and friendly staff.
The room also decorated with opulent silk, teak furniture and a large four poster bed. It has modern facility such as air con, fridge, tea coffee making facilities, safe and large flat screen TV.
The breakfast was served with care in Thai style plates, you can choose from American or Thai, home baked bread was delicious. Huge plate of fruits keep us going all day.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Chiang Mai zoo is must see. You can up close to the animals, I never been to the zoo where you can feed bananas and beans to Giraffe and Elephant.
The panda is another great attraction, go when the feeding time!

Quiet location, really sweet staff and super nice owner, small hotel with very little other guests (only 8 rooms in total). Clean, simple. Great breakfast (the owner cooked special breakfast for us each day including great sticky rice with mango). Again - the best part about the hotel is the owner
Very old appliances and bathroom. The shower and tub are so old we hardly wanted to use them. The light is really bad in the bathroom as well. Not a lot of space to unpack. Very hard uncomfortable mattress.
We flew to Chiang Mai from Koh Samui during our honeymoon when the weather in Koh Samui turned to rain and we decided to explore the north of Thailand that the guidebooks said was wonderful and interesting. We booked the hotel last minute based on tripadvisor reviews. It was recommended for a honeymoon in lonely planet as well. Although we loved the owner of the hotel and the breakfast, this city and hotel are not for a honeymoon. The city is not romantic but dirty and busy with little sidewalks and no romantic spots. Here and there are temples but there is nothing really to see. Saturday and Sunday walking streets are ok but to really see anything you have to leave town.
Restaurant Tip : At the end of the street the hotel is on when it hits the canal and center city, there is a very nice night market where we got fresh fruit every night.

- Beautiful decor
- Peaceful, stunning courtyard area with pool. In the evening, bats flit around and there were two cute resident kittens, too.
- Very helpful but unobtrusive staff
- Massive, stylishly presented breakfast, including platters of tropical fruits such as rambutans and dragon fruit.
- Bathrooms had super-massive baths and showerheads.
-Quiet location away from tourist district. The place seemed almost deserted.
- Very reasonable price
This hotel is a visual feast. I think that the architect owns the building, which would explain the attention to detail - every piece of furniture etc. is stunning. There are lots of old dark woods. The staff went beyond the call of duty. We got up half an hour after they finished serving breakfast one day but they invited us to have it anyway. And it rained one night and they moved the shoes etc. that we had left on the porch so that they didn't get wet. We got some stuff laundered and it came back deliciously fragrant.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : the Patara elephant farm visit was the highlight of the trip. You spend the day caring for an elephant that is assigned to you. patara elephant farm is a breeding programme with good standards of elephant welfare.
