before u chiang mai, we stayed in a resort in mae rim, enjoying the nature and quietness. i was a bit worried to more to the city center.
however, when entering u chiang mai, i found the hotel is in such a peace. it's a small boutique hotel, very delicate. the service here is worth mentioning. upon arrival, the front desk lady enquired our departure time, and when she noticed that we have to leave as early as 5:30 in the morning, they suggest to arrange a taxi but also notify that it would be expensive as 300bht because of the early time. and they also prepare the breakfast box. so sweet and nice, i'm impressed.
old city is small, it's convenient to borrow hotel bicycle to enjoy the city. i'm really like u chiang mai, and will definitely book it again next time.

Good Location hotel
good service, good location and good food
8.3
The design of the hotel was very simple and very neat. in front of the hotel it looks like a very normal building, but when u go in, u feel very comfortable and warm since each building was very close to each other. The location was also really good as it is right on the street of the sunday night market. We was there in mothers day and i think that the little treats for the special occasions were very nice. The staffs were also very helpful. The restaraunt was very nice, the breakfast and the dinner was very yummy. We definitely recommend this hotel.

Awesome location
Hotel is small but rooms are great
9.3
Fisrt, it's right in the center of city, 10/10. Wat chedi luang, phra singh, baian thai cookery, etc everything at walking distance. Service is excellent, and available 24 hrs. Only 40 rooms but very nice. Our balcony overlooked swimming pool and we could see the centuries old wat chedi luang. Awesome view. Breakfast was nice though recommended to change the menu everyday or provide more options. Overall very pleasant stay.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Self arranged trip to doi siuthep will not include handicrafts village tour. Recommend to book from hotel, as handicrafts village ( silk, silver, lac & umbrella) is must visit.

5. tks tony always smile and good service for our family on breakfast.
6. be cafeful the breakfast, it is half buffet and half ordered but no charge.

cozy boutique hotel in the heart of the old city
location, breakfast/food, library, gym, staff
8.3
we stayed in a deluxe room for a few nights and it was very comfortable. the hotel has an excellent location, right in the middle of the old city and on sundays, the market is outside the front door! the hotel has lots of nice features, like a well-equipped gym, a very nice reading room with lots of books, nooks and free internet stations, a nice spa (didn't use it), a beautiful pool, cute little restaurant and really nice outdoor lobby area. this hotel does it right with the boutique feel. the room was nice with good amenities. the deluxe room opened onto the pool area, which was lovely. the room was also very clean. overall the staff were incredibly gracious, especially in the restaurant. we traveled with our toddler and they went out of their way to make sure he had good food to eat. we really appreciated that. in general the front desk staff were nice but sometimes i got a feeling that i was bothering them or they were annoyed that day. overall they were helpful.
some minor glitches are: the lighting is good but there are no universal switches inside the room door, which makes fumbling for lights a little awkward; the bed duvet was threadbare with tears at the edges...they could do with replacing these; fresh fruit is provided but no cutlery to cut the fruit with... you need to ask the kitchen to do it for you; shower stall is a bit small and doors were wobbling a bit; they customize the 'scent' of your soaps but it's not consistent (eg, we picked the lemongrass soap but received only one and the rest of the soaps were flower smelling... so kind of odd to offer that service); no moisturizer provided.
in the grand scheme of things, the comments are minor. we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again, especially if we wanted to be in the heart of the old city.

Beautiful Well-Run Boutique Hotel
More than Sufficient Service, Uncomplicated, Relaxed and Comfortable.
9.7
a nice beautiful contemporary hotel with immediate accessibility to night market, shopping, and local eateries. rooms are well equipped, and comfortable bedding and with access to pool. very very pretty hotel.
we loved the breakfast, the quality and freshness is most unexpected of a small hotel. great cuppa too.
the reception though, is a tad too busy with lots of staff hanging around casually and reception desk is messy with papers even as we check-in. but didn't spoil our stay.

great location and great service
location in the center of Chiang Mai, near the Sunday market; very good service

Very good service. Good location in the center of Chiang Mai, near the Sunday market. greakfast good. Food at restaurant limited and a bit pricey.
Restaurant Tip:
Huen Phen. very good local food. English menu. Nice deco. a shame for the very unprofessional service: wait 30 minutes for our dishes to arrive, neighbouring table waiting 15 minutes for their bill, etc.

Amazing hotel, beautiful service
Great location, unique room decor, warm and prompt service
9.3
We stayed for five nights with our two and half year old daughter and were very happy with everything. The hotel is centrally located in old Chiang Mai and hence very convenient to travel. The rooms are very comfortable. The staff were more than willing to help us in any way. Our toddler was greeted with smiles through out the trip, not only by the locals but by the staff as well. We thank U Chiang Mai for making our stay at Chiang Mai so incredible.
Travel tip:
The hotel provides free bicycles, which is a great way to see the city. We wish that they had child seats as well, so we could have taken our daughter around.
