The design layout of the hotel was very good with nice grounds and spacious rooms.
I prefer buffet style breakfast. The breakfast menue and service needs improvement. The position of the hotel was way out of town but OK because we had a car.
The staff were very helpfull but the hotel is out of town so transport is necessary. The breakfast should be buffet style not poorly explained in the menue. Also, the service could have been better at breakfast.
Travel tip : Have transport organised because this hotel is a way out of town.

Hotel fairly new. Rooms are all set out around small lakes and very nice.
Little far from town - ned tut tut.
Nice hotel and laid out very well. We stayed in a bundalow and was located on a small lake.

Food, service, location,grounds, rooms.
Internet could do with being a lot quicker.
We had the most fantastic stay here, we only anticipated on staying for one night but we liked the hotel and its beautiful grounds so much we ended up staying a further 3 nights on top. Just didn't want to leave. The beds are soooo comfy, the rooms immaculate, the grounds are so pretty and the service second to none. I would encourage everybody to stay here at least once in your life. Excellent.
Restaurant Tip : Try the chicken Satay in the restaurant, absolutely the most beautiful thing I have ever tasted!

Nice gardens, adequate rooms.
The location is nowhere near what shown on the map as you have the impression that it is in town. It is not being at least 4km away.
The advertised free shuttle operates only once each way at 9pm into town and 10:30 from town. Otherwise you are charged 80 baht per person. Also deliberately misleading.
There is really nothing wrong with this hotel except for the misleading information given on the site. See cons for details. The hotel is pleasant and clean enough but nowhere near anything else. The gardens and pool are nice. I would not have chosen this hotel had I known where it was. The staff know little English.

Big new rooms with modern bath and extra shower cabin. Friendly staff in serene atmosphere. Good breakfast buffet, Western and Eastern food equally tasty.
The staff organized New Year night party with traditional food market, buffet and entertainment show, presents etc. Well done! It is located a bit out of Chaing Rai city, but the hotel has a shuttle service. We rented a car at the airport for a week because there is a lot of sightseeing to do. Driving is fine and safe and all is good located for whole of half-day trips. The resort organizes excursions too. Would go back.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Drive down the Mekong River from Mae sai to Chiang Saen and Chiang Kong.

Rooms have cable tv, rooms and sheets were spotless, staff were very friendly and helpful in giving tips on where to go and roads to take (we drove there), breakfast was acceptable.
Location can be considered to be a bit far from city center..can be hard to get to by those that don't drive.
Overall I really liked this hotel. The only thing I think they could have done better is the breakfast and dinner buffet at the hotel dining room. There was a wide variety to choose from but nothing that was really good. Its a shame that I didn't have time to try out the spa which I hear is great.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Be sure to visit Mai Sai which is no longer than a 20-min drive by car and go over to Myanmar where there are a ton of goods sold ranging from great quality pirated DVDs/box set DVDs to knock off mobile phones that work fine (recommend you change out the battery on the phones with genuine batteries).

Pool's temperature, cleanliness, & towel service were all perfect, the open air lobby is beautifully decorated, beds are wonderfully comfy, restaurant food was tasty and reasonably priced, and it was not crowded
Food service was rather slow, communication was difficult in English, for example it wasn't clear if we could rent the bicycles or not, (but if so, it would be a definite pro), spa prices seemed relatively expensive
This was an enjoyable and relaxing stay. The open air lobby is beautifully decorated, and the staff is friendly. The electric tuk-tuks were unobtrusively quiet and fun to ride especially with a group. The room was nicely appointed although the tub's rather used appearance didn't seem to match the higher standards seen elsewhere. The slow service at the restaurant was forgivable given the affordable prices (breakfast was included so no complaints there.) The pool was a definite plus; clean and lovely with excellent towel service. When in Chiang Rai, I will remember the Phowadol.

Very nice gym with great equipment, nice pool,
garden seemed it bit overgrown
This was a great property located near the city of Chiang Rai. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly by the hotel staff. We booked a cottage and were upgraded to a cottage superior which was spacious and very clean. They had a tuk tuk that drove us to our cottage. This is a great find in Chiang Rai and we will definitely return. The breakfast was wonderful because it was cooked to order and not your your standard buffet.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The Chiang Rai night bazaar was fantastic!

Good facilities and friendly and attentive
A little away from the city
A good hotel with good facilities, good food, great pool. The attention of the hotel is very good, we forgot a bag with clothes and sent us to another hotel where we alojabamos one weeks later, all right.

Very quiet and comfortable fully equipped ครับ. Style of Lanna Important is the people ครับ.
Bit difficult, if not travel routes. Staff very courteous. And should rent a car or take the car. Because no bus pass. Food fairly Due to normal days. Not be tourism.
Impressed with the quiet But with the fall-LANNA The winter cold. But the hot water heater quickly. Even a toilet is open. The resort is beautiful and very impressive ครับ.
