Everything, beautiful, quiet and a shuttle service to the night market

None

Everything about the hotel was a positive from From our airport pick up, to the warm welcome we received at check in we couldn't have wanted a better place to stay after our 23+ hours flying from New York City to Chiang Rai.The hotel is comprised or two story bungalows set in flowering gardens. Our room on the second floor had an outside balcony with comfortable furniture, our room was divided into teo areas, one with a large comfortable bed, dresser, tv, etc. The other with a desk/work area and a small frig. The hotel provided drinking water in glass resealable bottles, which is much better then throw away plastic bottles. The pool has a view of the river along with more gardens. We had one of the best massages we have ever had and before dinner a hotel shuttle took us to the night market and picked us up at the agreed upon time. For a candle lit dinner outside with live music and the sounds of the river flowing by, not to mention a truly delicious Thai meal and great service. A hotel not to be missed if visiting the area.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The night market was fun, not only for shopping, but food and music and people watching as there were more locals then tourists

quiet and very romantic for couples

a bit out of the way; need to take transportation into town.

a nice hotel giving good value for the money; a bit out of the way, but very quiet and very private. I would avoid Chaing Rai in March due to the contaminated air from the farmers burning their fields. Hotel provides shuttle bus service into town for 50BHT each way and a tuck tuck is easy to catch to get back. I would stay at this hotel again.

Room-well appointed with water canals in front. Breakfast buffet great.

We loved the feel of this hotel. Very comfortable, elegant and relaxing. The pool is beautiful and the reclining chairs also face the river which is quite scenic. Breakfast was a huge tasty buffet. The tuk tuks come and take you to town to the night bazaar. We regret having only one night there.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The boat trip up the river for elephant trek and hike was the highlight of our Thailand trip. We visited 3 villages and had an excellent lunch at one.

The suite design. The location on the river. The gardens.

I don't remember thinking that there was anything I disliked or thought needed improving.

We stayed in the Grand Deluxe Suite and loved how the jacuzzi was filled with water ready for our arrival. It was very inviting. The suite was well arranged, original in it's design and very well suited for a relaxing stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had the BBQ Buffet dinner at the restaurant. It was very tasty and the ambiance of the restaurant with the live music was just lovely.

A very quiet and restful bolt hole - away from the main city centre

A bit of a walk to town - but cheap to travel by tuk tuk. Avoid using the hotels shuttle bus which is expensive.

A great - retreat for a few days, particularly if you take advantage of the wonderful spa facilities. The rooms are beautiful and reflect a traditional style of decor.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The hotel can organise some great trips, and they are quite affordable

Lovely rooms, nice pool, great setting

Expensive tours

I would recommend this hotel to anybody staying in Chiang Rai. The cleanliness of the rooms is excellent. The value for money is very good for the rooms as they are a good size, especially the shower room. The pool is very nice and looks over the river which makes a nice setting. The tours are expensive so it would make sense to book these through a different agent

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Take a tour to the Hilltribes with an organisation which gives money back to the tribes. Avoid the manufactured hilltribe camps

Impresive layout, fantastic view, good food, warm service.

A distance from the city centre.

The hotel provides a relaxing enviroment for the body and soul. There are spas and massage services for you right at the hotel. The food at the in-house restaurants serve tantalizing local and Western dishes that blend with the surrounding atmosphere. The near by river allows for a cooling experience even in summer periods. Transportation to town is convenient and frequent and can be arranged by the hotel front desk. Local tours are also available for those who wish to explore the beauty and splendor that Chiang Rai has to offer.

Ideal for families or young couples that want to relax to do some tours, I would not recommend this for singles who want to emjoy the nightlife.

Travel tip : Don't get a bike or car in the hotel, they are mch cheaper outside (120/motor bike, 800 car)

Being slightly out of the way can sometimes be an incentive to explore areas you hadn't thought of before.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : it is well worth taking a car and driver to view Doi Tung, Mae Sai, Golden Triangle and Chiang Saen. Great day out with plenty to see.

Overall atmosphere by the river.

Little bit difficult find.

Nice resort hotel by the river in Chiang Rai. It was difficult find the location at first. The restaurant was some what expensive, but food and drink was at satisfactory level. Chiang Rai city is rather small, so that it was pleasant to stay at the hotel. Close enough to the center of the city by sonteu.

Restaurant Tip : Pizza and Lamp chop was good.

Great for a short getaway or as a base from which to explore northern Thailand. Would definitely stay again.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Hire a motorbike or a car and explore one of the many beautiful waterfalls of the area. Take a picnic and sit in cool pools of water and snack and snooze like the Thais
