Lovely hotel in a great setting
Large comfortable rooms and a terrific swimmming pool

The chalets are large and airy and the grounds are lovely as are the views of the mountains. It is only 3 km's out of Pai so close enough to enjoy the town.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Great for doing the tourist thing and also good shops and restaurants

This is the nicest hotel in this part of Thailand. It sits right down from the Golden Triangle and provides great views of the countryside and river. The rooms have everything you will need and are very well maintained. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast on the veranda overlooking the Mekong is great for the food and view. There is a small but very nice pool. We stayed here now twice and will return in the future.

bath room is quite strange because the hand washing sink is not in the toilet but it's outside next to the bed room.
quite strange when you are brushing your teeth and someone is watchin it.

in the messy little tourist hamlet that constitutes the golden triangle, this is the best non-lux option. good rooms and bed. well maintained and clean. nice wooden floors and decent tv channel selection. they know how to make a good coffee and the restaurant area overlooks the mekong. the pool is very small and only good for a dip. clean and well maintained though. there is a private carpark for guests. a couple of decent thai restaurants and a 7-11 very close.

all day breakfast which you don't need to wake up early for your breakfast

You can get a car from hotel to town, but it only has one car and no car after 8pm. It has no taxi or tuk tuk around in the area, so inconvenient if you want to travel to city for a dinner or drinks.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
air con is blowing right to your head on the bed, very uncomfortable.

the hotel locates besides the khong river. that's why the view is so great from our room. since the hotel is very near to golden triangle, you can see the very big buddha from our balcony as well. the rive view from the pool is also nice. the staffs there are very friendly and helpful.
Restaurant Tip:
The restaurant nearby our hotel name "Thai Kitchen" is very nice. The food are very delicious plus you've got the river view.

Hotel Feature Tip:
travelers arriving by their own means need to establish clearly where the hotel is. ( its confusing to say the least [ what i can tell you is that its not in chiang rai city )

once again the service was excellent, the rooms represented good value, the pool whilst small was excellent and the parking was easy

The best was at "beautiful Garden"? 2 klms toward the main toown and on the right.
The other in complex on the river on the left next to the miltary complex 1/2 K north of the town

I have been to Chiang Saen several times, but this was my first time to stay at this hotel.
I really enjoyed the scenery from the room, Mekong River and Laos on the other side of the river.
This hotel is a great hotel if you want to relax in your room all day long.
