we booked 4 rooms for a large group. they had everything ready when we arrived and were checked in and down sitting in the river view restaurant in less than 20 minutes. the staff was wonderful to the small children, playing with them and offering cartoon dvds and even set up a dvd player in the room!!!... we will return again...
the only thing i could not recommend is the upgrade to a "deluxe" room - all you get is a weirdly larger room that has a big empty space with no furniture in it - otherwise is is exactly the same as their superior room - and note these rooms do not have the river views that are prominent in all the photos....
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Go into Chiang Saen - There is a great Chinese restaurant that is right on the river road in the city

It's a good boutique hotel, standing next to Mekong River.
Although it's much smaller than shown in the picture, it's clean, quite and relaxing. It also has a good access to major tourist attractions in Chiang Seang Area.

Great place to stay and fantastic rooms with fabulous views (river view, NOT city view). Decent breakfast buffet but the views of the river definitely outdo the breakfast. Strange Christmas music playing at breakfast (in July) but otherwise a great stay.

Smart new hotel, well priced
Location, right on the river and close to the sights of the golden Triangle. Very nice room and friendly, helpful staff.

booked this hotel based on comments from other guests, as it had a good recommendation. we upgraded to a river view room which was well worth it. the room was large and comfortable with a balcony facing onto the river. we wanted to watch a dvd so the staff installed one for us very willingly. they gave us good advice on where to eat in local restaurants and we enjoyed our stay. would definitely stay here again
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The Opium Museum just a few Kilometres out of town is really interesting and worth a half day visit. Well designed and very user friendly.
