This is a very quiet place

There is no nite life to speak of in Chiang Saen and no Western TV in the hotel room, so bring a Kindle! We had a nice dinner with local music at the Thai Kitchen on the river a few kilometers north of this Hotel. There are two museums in the area worth a visit: one small local history museum in Chiang Saen town, and the impressive, high tech Hall of Opium Museum at the Golden Triangle area about 7 miles north of the town.

there are 3 kinds of guest room positions: river 90 degree (view partly blocked by the hotel own wall), river180 degree and mountain or noview.
the room is well decorated with a balcony (private), big bed,bathtub, lcd tv, fridge and even bookshelves. bicycle is provided for free but quite old.
swimming pool is nice and clean, looking over the river mekong.weakness of this hotel is its breakfast with only limited variety. thehotel location is further out of town and there are not many decent nearby restaurants. hotel staff is helpful to give you a ride downtown.
the worst thing yet is to type this review on the ridiculous agoda website, apparently run by IT shitheads, too time-consuming.
