The two dive sites visited were full of plentiful sea life and seemed fairly clear visibility

This place is fine as a dive resort, but not a good stopover option before getting the boat to Ko Tao. Its a long drive to the ferries, particularly the high speed catamaran.

15 km out of Chumphon. If you are using this hotel before getting the ferry to Ko Tao, it is a long drive, particularly to the high speed catamaran.
