The pools in every villa
Breakfast is like a Michellin delight, I have never had such a beautiful breakfast in my life!
The spa treatments are to die for
Front desk - one or two of the receptionists need to understand more English as we were unable to get help on one or two things that we needed as there was a lack of understanding.
This is an amazing hotel. We stayed at both resorts in Hua Hin. They are both really close to each other, so you can use both hotels facilities which is a lovely touch. We stayed in a delxe pool villa and when we moved to the Guti, we stayed in a one room villa. They are beautifully done out, the design detailsof the Guti were spectacular and the pool at the Guti was almost olympic sized with a lovely view. The breakfasts at AKA come beautifully presented, I have never seen anything like it, it is worth going for the breakfasts alone! The hotels are about 15 mins drive away from centre of Hua Hin, but they put on regular free shuttles both ways which is great.
Shopping Tip : Don't book a cab from the resort if possible as you will get a much much cheaper deal from going direct. The hotel has a mark up that they charge the driver and so that is passed onto you. Talk sweetly to one of the staff there ( not reception), they always know a friend who is a cab driver and will arrange it for you.

Quiet, private and romantic
Not easily accessible from the main road
I totally love this resort. Despite the fact that it is not easy to access at all (and I mean it). But that's acceptable given all the atmosphere you will get once you reach there. You get a private pool in your villa, it's very quiet, private and romantic. During my nights, I saw some fireflies too.
However, you (or your children) can get hurt from the pool easily because the material used for constructing the pool is a little too sharp.
Personally I am very happy with my stay.

Hotel Staff is really helpful
It's quite far from the city, shuttle Bus service for Market and Hotel is not quite sufficient.
It's really a wonderful place for honey moon or for people wanted to refresh their mind from the
busy city. The pool in the villa and roof top rest area is the most enjoyable place inside the villa.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : it's worth to go night market, nice shopping and eating out there

the time for shuttle bus can be improved
spa at aka is not cheap
very good privacy
one of the small luxury hotels of the world
each room has its own swimming pool, the room rate is not expensive comparing to the pool room in other hotels.
the location is not near the center of Hua Hiu, so you need book the shuttle in advance.
the spa at aka is not cheap
there's tourist center next to Starbucks in downtown, and you can get lots of information there. We found a very good spa place there.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Hua Hin Market

Nice location, bit out of town if you do not have your own transport
Could be doing with some snagging work,
Had to leave a day sooner, but was charged the full amount even though there were plenty of extra rooms available, was charged more than the add said.
Arrived back the following week to do some business for a day,and was charge even more the next day 1200 baht more than the internet price.
Must admit breakfast was a lot better than previous stay
Hotel Feature Tip : very peaceful

Nice room, Nice staff and service
Room rate is too high for this situation.
I am very appreciate their staff and services. The room is very clean and has various amenities available. Resort's surrounding is very nice. By the way, I think room rate is a little bit high for this crisis situation. Maybe, resort should provide a special promotion to attract customer to come back again.

Nicely designed, clean villas with simply gorgeous infinity pool and lots of privacy
Free shuttle bus to Hua Hin
Lack of attention to detail (i.e. some of the finishings of lower quality)
As resort was very empty they "outsourced" the cooking to the neighbouring AKA Resort
Landscape is not (yet) that great
Spa not yet finished
I stayed at the AKA Guti resort which is close to the original one and is its newer offspring. The villas are absolutely beautiful, especially with your private infinity pool starting right in your bedroom. Breakfast was decent and the staff very friendly. The main pool also is a major site but as the resort was very empty not too much was happening when we were there. Still, if you want some privacy with your partner, this is certainly a great place to go to!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Take the free shuttle bus to town for plenty of restaurant choices

Private pool
Excellent room service
Relax and slient environment
Extremely large pool villa with around 3000 sqf
Upper deck of villa
Schedule of Shuttle bus is not good enough
A very good hotel that I could recommend to everyone.
The private pool was large enough to swim and the environment inside villa was fresh and natural with water and tiny fishes under the platform and step. Room was extremely large so we can stayed inside the villla for whole day. Location is acceptable from hotel to night market within 15 min.
Restaurant Tip : Recommend the room servie breakfast

Everything about this hotel was perfect, the pool, the restaurants, the villas.....all stunning!
If you like to be close to the beach, then this is not the hotel for you.
Our stay at the AKA was absolutely perfect. We stayed in a 2 bedroom pool villa which is definitely worth the money if there are 4 people. The resort is stunning and great for a relaxing week-end. There is no need to leave the resort unless you want to go to the beach.

Lovely Pool Villa
Breakfast very delicious (I love Egg benedict!!)
The pillow is too firm.
TV is very outdated.
Private sanctuary in the hill, not on the beach though. We stay in 1 Bdrm Pool villa, even it only 100 sqm with 5 mtere pool but I think it's quite adequate.Breakfast is excellent, try Egg Bendedict it's really good. The down point are the pillow seem to be too firm and too high for me.It would be nice also if you consider upgrade the telly to be a bit more high-end.

Beautiful Grounds, Extremely private accomodation, Very accomodating staff, Excellent quality food.
Could do with some more Thai food on the Menu/Room service Menu - Quality of food was excellent though. In room guides for activities sometimes differed from what was actually available but the activities themselves were very good.
We spent 10 nightts in a Deluxe 1-bed villa at the start of Feb 2009 and I have nothing but good things to say about the resort. On arrival it was like a little oasis of calm. The grounds are lovely - very well maintained but still seemed very natural and in keeping with the surroundings. Check-in staff were very lovely and we were offered tea and home-made gourmet ice-cream on arrival while we sat on a couch and filled out the necessary forms. The most relaxing check-in I've experienced. The restaurant, shop, fitness centre and pool are all near reception and all represent what you would expect from a luxury resort. We were very impressed by the presentation / layout of the entire resort. They have definitly put alot of thought into making it easy and relaxed but also extremely comfortble. Soft music is piped through the whole resort at low levels which was very soothing. We were escorted to our villa and given a tour immediately after check-in via the golf-carts as all villa's are separate enclosures a short walk from the main reception. The carts are availalbe to collect you at any time but we always walked as it really was only about 5 minutes and it was very scenic - and at night it was softly lit and romantic. The villa's are all extremely private and spacious as well as comfortable with a separte living room (with a bar area) as well as a deck with outdoor sunloungers and 2-person dining table beside the pool. Our's also had a separate upstairs deck with a day-bed but we found we didn't use this much as it was SO nice sitting beside the pool. Good for a change though. Our villa actually had a 2nd bedroom with ensuite which we were told was in case you wanted to have an in-room spa treatment so you could keep it separate from your main living/sleeping area. I thought this was a nice touch. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the friendly maid-service provided plenty of free bottled water daily (via the daily clean and turn-down service).
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : We booked an activity through the hotel - Pa-lu waterfalls and elephant ride afterwards. Whilst I'd say it was a little more expensive to book through the hotel that a private operator in Hua Hin (which is to be excpeted) the extra value was evident when we were picked up from our hotel by our very friendly english speaking guide in a comfortable mini van. It was a private tour (thus the extra money) and we passed a couple of other groups during our nature walk and could see we were getting a more informed service. The hotel obviously uses a good tour company and for the ease of booking (charged to our room) and transport, it's worth the little extra cost. And the actual waterfalls are great - definately reccomend taking your swimmers so you can swim with the hundreds of fish!

Bad location, rude staffs, no water after midnight in any of the villas. The food taste bad..lots of insects.
There is no water after midnight and they claimed the water in the resort is purchased from other village and the water truck got car accident. The reception lady was rude and the attitude was unbelievable. The location is middle of no where which takes 20 mins to get into the town and the shuttle can only ride with 10 people per time. I would never recommend anyone stay there again!
Travel tip : Basically there is nothing to do in the hotel or outside of the hotel..

Peaceful place, No one to disturb you!!
All green
Not as good as Villas
Can improve upon privacy for Guti
Break fast not as good as on Villas
This place is a nice and cool out of city, where one can enjoy having peaceful moments with his loved ones! The good thing about AKA resort is that they really take care of you and make sure you are comfortable. I would surely recomend this resort to everyone
Shopping Tip : Can go to city by hotel van , which operates after alternate hour
