Beautiful rooms and grounds
The food was only just average and far too expensive. The rooms had noisy airconditioning which made it impossible to sleep.
We had to pay for the shuttle to Hua Hin town, this should have been free
The grounds of this hotel were superb and the room we had was beautiful. However, the buffet breakfast was only just average and i wish i had known that the beach was unswimmable as this was a disappointment.
The airconditioning in the room was so loud we had to wear airplugs and even turn it off to attempt to get a good nights sleep. After 5 nights we were exhausted from lack of sleep.
The food at the resort was far to expensive and there should have been a cheaper option. For the expense it was not worth it. The staff were superb, every one of them and very friendly.
We did enjoy our days by the pool
Restaurant Tip : The food at the local night market in Hua Hin was absolutely superb from the stalls and very cheap

Beautiful setting, with a distinct Thai "flavour", I felt so relaxed the moment i stepped in.
Can't find many faults. just sandflies on the beach!
The service was impeccable, staff were very warm and willing to assist at all times. I truly enjoyed the relaxed chill out setting, all with a distinct Thai flavour. My children enjoyed the easy accessibility to the beach, as well as the pool. The spa experience was also very good, i had a lemon grass aromatherapy massage that left me well and truly relxed. The Thai restaurant was very good and reasonably priced, with a beautiful setting just by the pool. I would highly recommend this to my friends and will definitely revist other Anatara resorts around the region.
Restaurant Tip : HOtel recommended a great seafood place Chaolay, not far from the night market.

The grounds at the hotel are beautiful. Lots of places to sit and relax and even at full capacity the place did not feel crowded. The food at breakfast and the various restaurants was also very good. The service was also excellent.
When we had lunch our first day at the beach side restaurant, they only gave us their special menu but did not tell us there was a more complete menu so we were a little disappointed not to have been able to eat a better meal that first day.
We were upgraded to a superior Lagoon room and really liked the room very much. The bathroom was large and it was possible to open up the doors of the bathroom so that it looked out into the main room making it feel like a bigger room. We also really liked the balcony over the lagoon from our room. We also tried out the spa and the rooms and outlay of the spa is beautiful, just spectacular, however, I am not sure that the treatments were worth the prices (double or more than in Bangkok for similar services). The atmosphere was great but the treatments were good but not spectacular. We enjoyed our stay at the Anantara very much and will return but will probably skip the spa next time.
Restaurant Tip : Make sure to ask for the complete menu at the seaside restaurant.

The reception of stuff was very good.
It was annoying that the footstep noize of 2nd floor.
It takes long time to carry our bagage to our room because of missing it.
When I asked stuff to book golf course for us on the next day, she tried to call me many times to let me know as soon as possible that the golf course I requested could not be booked during my swimming on the beach. All stuff not limited to her were very kind and friendly, and the responce for our request was very quick.
Shopping Tip : Shuttle bus is available to Hua hin town. The fare is also reasonable(50bath/person).

Bathroom is integrated into room, large, comfortable bed, quick and efficient service
rooms below lagoon class are too small for the price, air conditioning takes time to cool room down, no central control for lighting in room, parking lot is too far away from room
We originally booked a premier deluxe room with a double bed, but when we arrived the hotel informed us that they only had rooms with twin beds available for the weekend.
After we complained that 2 twin beds combined together is not as comfortable as a double bed, and that we would much rather prefer to enjoy our stay at Anantara without having to feel bad about the room, the manager was understanding and upgraded us to a lagoon room.
Although all the rooms at the resort were clean and nice, only rooms at Lagoon or above seemed spacious enough. This is probably because the beds are so big, that smaller rooms such as premier seemed to be too small for it!
Overall, we really enjoyed staying at the Anantara Hua Hin.

This is my second visit to Anantara Hua Hin. This time I had my mother staying and wanted to take her somewhere relaxing and beautiful so I chose to come here again as I had enjoyed it so much the last time I had visited.
The pool was a hit with her as she could easily get in and out due to the nature of the steps, and it had shallow bits where she could wade around. She is not very mobile so the hotel loaned us a wheelchair for the duration of our stay which was fantastic as we were able to use it in the town as well, so that she could get a good look around.
I think Anantara is a place for anyone who is not limited to a budget to stay. I found it fantastic last visit when I went as a couple, and again this time with my Mum.
As long as prices don't skyrocket, I will be back.

Service was excellent all round. Had issues with the Internet service in the room. After calling the help desk and they could not help solve the problem on the phone, a staff was dispatched to my room promptly. The staff worked on the problem for about 5 to 10 minutes and the problem was resolved.

Fabulous complex and grounds, close to Bangkok (2.5-3 hours)
Beach is not great, smallest/cheapest rooms are not great.
Great stylish place for a quick weekend trip from Bangkok. I would not fly to Thailand for this hotel since the beach is really not great. Grounds are beautiful including the pools and spa. Food is fine but not cheap. I would recommend not to book the cheapest rooms since they are small, dated and not very attractive.
Hotel Feature Tip : Some people miss the second interior lagoon people which is VERY nice and more quiet than the main one.

I would love to return here for a restful holiday, especially if the price remained the same all year round!
Restaurant Tip : If the prices of the hotel food is beyond your budget, there are some great places to eat in the township and especially in the night market.
