What can I say? I LOVED this hotel. It was simple and charming. The hotel had everything I wanted and it suited my down to earth personal style. I was a solo female traveller and completely comfortable and safe here. The staff are exceptional. The beach was clean (fewer dogs) and practically deserted. You could walk to the huge mall across the street. Splash pools are too shallow... So what makes this place so great? It doesn't feel like a cookie cutter hotel where you are a number. It has a traditional feel with lovely rooms, wooden floors, airy space and awesome bathroom. Loads of storage space and a great fruit platter on arrival. Hotel is built over the beach with a walk down. Beach is clean compared to other areas of Hua Hin. Awesome mall across the street if you want food and snacks and shopping. Shuttle to night market. Lovely restaurant next to the pool at night the lighting in the trees is very romantic. I can imagine a great wedding location. They have a house cat and care for it which I appreciated. So many stray dogs and cats in Thailand that made me sad. As an animal rescuer I really appreciated that this one little cat was so loved by the hotel that I would stay here again for this fact alone. I know it's odd but it says a lot about people how they treat animals so they get big bonus points because of this. Kitty escorted me to my room every night too. Staff are so nice and polite and didn't seem to have their hands out constantly like in other Thailand hotels. Bird got me a breakfast to go when I had to leave early for Bangkok flight. Please can I go back?
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you're downtown and want to get back to the hotel with minimum fuss, just ask the Tuk Tuk driver to drop you off at the Mariott which is practically next door.

If you want the high personality and good warming service, I think Baan Bayan can cover your need.

If you like the old retro feeling, this is the hotel for you. Internet connection in the room was very bad. The hotel is very well located, right on the beach and across the road is a big shopping mall. The town centre is a 10 -15 minute walk from the hotel.
The room I had was very spacious and comfortable, with beautiful wooden floors. The food in the restaurant needs improvement, but there are so many restaurants nearby that this problem can easily be overcome.
Overall it was a pleasant stay.
Shopping Tip : Across the road is a big mall.

Mall accross the street. I like quiet but some people might like better entertainment.
The beach is not very wide when the tide is high. The rooms are beautiful.
Staff is very nice and helpful.
Food is good.
Barmaid and barman have a good sense of humour.
Can have a nice dinner on the beach deck...it can be romantic.
There is a huge mall right across the street. Leisurely 30 minute walk to the clubs.
Plenty of parking space if you rent a car.
Can take buses just in front of hotel.
You can do some horseback riding on the beach.
Shopping Tip : Easy to get around town.
Can walk to huge mall across the street and downtown.

Small so not as impersonal as larger hotels. Big comfortable rooms. Great service, friendly helpful staff. Great restaurant for Thai and Western food. Right on the beach. Relaxed atmosphere. It's almost as if you're staying at someone's house, which in a sense you are. Staff are always friendly, helpful and courteous. Rooms big and comfortable, big bathrooms. Also TV & DVD facilities. Larger than normal bar fridge allows you put your own purchases in. Relaxed pool area. Beautiful surroundings and atmosphere of old Thai teak house. Excellent restaurant. Hotel right on the beach. More personal feel than larger hotels. Relaxed luxury. You wont want to leave.

Small boutique hotel, location seafront, nice big room poor breakfast; old bathroom It's a small familiar hotel very quiet. It's ideal if you want to relax. If you like to meet other people it's the wrong place. There's no one in the bar and most of the times you are alone at the poolside restaurant. The staff is very nice and there is even a hotelcat off wich they take good care.
Shopping Tip : Shopping center in front of the hotel with a very nice japanese restaurant called FUJI, cheap(to our standards) and delicious

-Hotel staff is very friendly and takes great care of the guests -Rooms are very clean and have good taste -Not too many rooms so the hotel is kept fairly quiet even if all rooms are fully booked -Free wireless internet access if you have a laptop -Beach is cozy and fairly clean I had a great time staying at Baan Bayan. The hotel is very quite and has a great taste in exterior/interior. The beach are is small but it's a clean part of the beach, if you compare to the neighboring hotels. The hotel staff was very friednly and helpful. I asked them to get me a taxi to go to Phranakhon Khiri, but they offered to provide a short trip and showed me around the nearby town, and took me to a very good seafood restaurant in the fishing village where only locals gather, on the way back to the hotel. I originally made reservation for two nights but ended up staying there 4 nights in total (wanted to extend my stay longer if they had a room available, but could not as they were fully booked) as I liked it so much.

Nice rooms, friendly staff, private beach, clean,
free sunbeds nothing to complaint about we were met by friendly staff who took care of our bagage, everything was ready for us after a long trip from Europe. We had refreshment was shown around and enjoyed the breakfast every morning in peaceful surroundings. The free bus to nightmarket and town was perfect timing every evening at 7 pm

A comfortable and friendly atmosphere. Suitable for a real rest. Breakfast is not diverse. And mosquitoes have a little much. To stay at home Bayan I feel like that has come to rest because the atmosphere of a private holiday home decor that like comfort.ยู่ home people would not be crowded. The beach is beautiful and calming. Add to shopping close by. Hotels in Hua Hin is the most impressive, to put ค่ะ.
Shopping Tip : Hold near the home bar. Market Village. Very convenient for shopping ค่ะ.
