all in all, we had a great time at the centara. the grounds and facilities are top notch, the setting is beautiful and the food was really good (especially the buffet breakfast). on the down side, when we arrived, our room was not ready and it took an hour to get into it, which was frustrating after being on the road for a couple of hours with the kids. seems as though booking through agoda didn't quite sync with their system. other complaint is no free wi-fi, which seems pretty chintzy for a 5-star hotel.

Oldies hotel with great service

I had 2 nights stay but it seems too short. Overall was great experient. The service was great and staffs were very professional, friendly and helpful. The location s nice, middle of the town and next to the beach. The buildings re old but interior just recently renovoted. The beds (queen) and the sets re super comfortable for long good sleep. Little down side is on the light in the room. With wood decoration, brighter shall be nice! Other things else re positive!
Shopping Tip:
Just 5 mins walk to reach a very famous Huahin night market. And severy little shops and restuarants re along the way. Else you can take a ride to another local art night market... Which is 5 mins away. For day time, you can go the floating markets, located 10 mins away by car. Or if you want to relax in the mall... You can go to Villa Huahin for less than 5 mins ride.

Great location, beautiful hotel, nice staff, great breakfast. The hotel located at the center of Hua Hin, beach, 7-11, food stores are all nearby. There are few very nice pools here, you can enjoy you stay here and have a very relaxing holiday. I will come again in my next trip to Hua Hin.

Luxury from another time

We stayed at this hotel for three days and will definetly recommend it for its services(we actually got upgraded to a see view room), its location (direct access to the beach, close to shops and restaurants) and for its colonial architecture.
We are used to stay in nice hotels when we travel but we definetly wanted something different this time. A place with history and character. The Centara exceeded our expectations. Only the restaurant were a bit of a disappointment as the Thai food served was not authentic. The breafast make it up as it was one of the best we ever had (good products, fresh and very diversified). If you go to Hua Hin, stay at Centara.

this is my second stay at this establishment. i love the location and the fact that you are on the beach, and that its a beach you can walk on and bathe in. the pool is wonderful as its next to the beach so you get the feel of the beach without the sand.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Hotel has alot of rooms that are older and perhaps not as appealing as those that have been renovated with a more modern yet classic feel. Keep this in mind when booking. Its a huge hotel so walking to breakfast or to the pool maybe a bit of a trek. If you have any difficulties best to request a room closer to the center of the hotel. Poolside service was not good. They have buzzers to ring for service but it takes forever, and the happy hour drinks 2 for 1 are all bought to you at the same time and same drink so make sure to tell the wait staff to hold on the 2nd drink until you request it otherwise you will get a watery warm version by the time you are ready for it. The Club package is great if you plan not to leave the hotel so you can actually enjoy of the extras. I never saw the butler we were promised so make sure if you are spending the extra cash that you inquire before booking.

The Villas is so great. Good service and sooooo beautiful place. At first, I booking at Deluxe Pool Villa but the air-conditioner not working so they upgrade my house to Premium Deluxe Pool Villa. But.... I like the first house more than this type because the Premium Deluxe Pool Villa is too big for a couple. I like the "Deluxe pool Villa" because it's not too big. It's perfect room I think. The Premium Deluxe is perfect for a party at the pool or you stay more than 2 people I think.
