This hotel is a good quality three star hotel. The Swimming Pool is large, clean and well-maintained, with good views over the beach. The restaurant offers good value for money - for food and drink! The rooms are cool, spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable with clean bed-linen provided everyday. However the teak floors need re-surfacing as the laquer finish has been re-coated and are peeling - very off-putting when we first went in. The bathrooms are clean but tired, although the plumbing did work well. With some care and attention to the fittings and finishes this hotel would live up to its 4 star rating. The staff are friendly, not over-bearing and satisfied our questions.

The swimming pool, Location on the beach, reasonable priced menu

Bathroom fittings. An information pack or sheet about the hotel. A safe in each room, which is quite standard in 4 star hotels.

  • Restaurant Tip : The hotel is in within walking distance of Papa John's, excellent contemporary Thai food with Western Menu, good drink selection, warm ambience

The food is good and reasonably payable. The GM is always to be seen and if there is a problem to be solved, you can talk to him directly for solutions. The staff is very nice and helpful in all cases.

  • Travel tip : The beach is great. You can walk it up and down and go eat at other hotel"s restaurants, or play soccer with kids, frizbee etc. The sand is just great, nice and fine, and the water is clean.

Good if you are travelling with a group of friends or in a family. Their two-room apartment is most ideal.

There is more activity and shopping in Pattaya but the beach is so much better in Hua Hin. Our teenaged children swam for hours everyday. The new Mall is just a 5-10 minute drive away so we were there everyday for shopping and eating.

  • Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Monkey Mountain was a quick trip by taxi. There were monkeys everywhere and they climbed up on our heads as we fed them. Sometimes, two at a time. Wild experience. There is a temple with many stairs to climb and you can see a beautiful view of Hua Hin. Worth a visit. A few shops sell handicrafts. We had the taxi driver walk with us to the monkeys as we were a little afraid.

We enjoyed visiting Khao Takiep, the temple on the mountain at the end of the beach. The kids enjoyed feeding the monkeys. Hua Hin is an interesting place with high end places, like the Hyatt Regency nearly right next door. We had dinner there one night and enjoyed it. Good value for the money at Chom View.

  • Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The kids enjoyed riding horses on the beach. Only 300 baht for 1/2 hour.

It was raining when we stayed at this hotel and we found that their breakfast area was constrained/limited when there is rain. People have to be clustered in a small dining area, which is a bit small for a big crowd. The food area almost suffered from rainwater.

  • Travel tip : Hua Hin is very far and not much to do at night. For this type of hotel, better recreation facilities should be provided.
