what goes wrong pool beds are rotten and dirty, only 5 of them
breakfast is a bit short for an asean country
to get a tuk tuk to go to town you have to walk over 600m to the police station where the terminal lies
the beach there is fine, with shallow water far away, well adapted to young children
only 2 small but good asian restaurants at walking distance

I really enjoyed this place! The staff were incredibly helpful, the rooms clean (maybe could use a lick of paint) and very close walk to the beach...about 600m. The WiFi is not the best in some rooms. Would stay here again.
Restaurant Tip:
Turn left outslde the entrance of the hotel and eat at the guesthouse or steakhouse on the corner about 100m down the road. Cheap, clean and very tasty!

Very basic hotel, good point is location. The breakfast was not good, I would have preferred to not have breakfast included and gone outside to buy. The rooms are basic and not what we expected, could do with some work and better decor to make guests feel more at home and comfortable. For foreigners visiting language would be a problem. with almost no English spoken by staff.

Chomtawan is a very comfortable, clean 3 star resort. Nothing fancy but good for us. The American breakfast is a little plain and monotonous, but ask nicely and you can have a plate of fruit instead. Good WiFi near reception and in pool facing rooms
Restaurant Tip:
Best local restaurants are on the beach and close about 6. Best places in the evening are in town, 10 Baht bus ride away

It old and rundown, if they can upgrading this property will be a nice place to stay.
Breakfast was ok ... but people who we met during the breakfast said it the same food everyday.
Its a little to basic for family with young kids.

Only stay here if you need to save money

the rooms are small. the bathrooms are very basic. the beds are just okay. this is an older resort. it is far from downtown hua hin (which can be a good thing for some people). access to the beach is a 5 minute walk down a road opposite the hotel. this resort hotel may be a good place for a family with children as there is a big area of open space on the property, and a small but fun pool to play in. young couples will find this hotel very quiet and boring, especially if you do not have a motorbike or a car to drive to the more lively parts of hua hin.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
There is an extremely lovely and peaceful hilltop temple with fantastic views of Hua Hin about 350 meters from this hotel. The entrance to the temple is on the left side of the road on the way to downtown Hua Hin at the back of what looks like a gigantic, unpaved parking lot.

Enjoyed the stay there. Only a 2 minute walk to the beach. I would definitely recommend Kao Takiab over central Hua Hin.
Breakfast wasn't great, but was edible.

I stay 1 night only at garden view. Yes the wall is very thin. Easily can hear next door.
Good price for location close to beach. Can't see the see from hotel but can walk.
