Central location...near to the beach and night markets.Burger King directly across the street if you want a change from Thai food.Lobby of hotel has very good air con so pleasant to sit there to cool down after coming back from the beach.
The rooms are very spacious but could do with redecorating! We have stayed there on previous stays in Thailand and havent had anything done to them in a long time. There are two lifts in the hotel but are not for guest use only...I lost count of the times I called the lift only to find it full of suitcases or housekeeping equipment.Maids are very friendly but the same can not be said for reception staff.I found them to be very unfriendly.
Once again we really enjoyed our stay in the City Beach Hotel,Hua hin,Thailand. The rooms are spacious but a little dated in their decor.Bathroom has bath and shower which is very powerful.Rooms have fridge,tv and air con.The hotel management dó not like electrical equipment like kettles or irons used in the rooms and have notice to this affect on the mirror in the room....we used a kettle because being British we are partial to a cup of tea!!!!There is a swimming pool on the second floor of the hotel but as we were only a couple of hundred metres from the beach we didn't use it.Safety deposit boxes are free for your stay but please dont lose the key as the hotel charges 5000 baht(£100)if you do.

Fantastic location, and nice room
We was not sow happy for the birds on the terrasse (duer)
Kjempefint hotel til en fantastisk rimelig pris. Syntes betjeningen var kjempe hyggelige. Skjønner ikke hvorfor noen klager på frokosten. Egg i alle former, bacon, pannekaker, Thai mat og syltetøy. Varierte hver dag.
Restaurant Tip : Ambasadøren rigt outh side the hotel. Werry good sandvish and food from Danmark.:-) 50 meter from the hotel fantastic nice coffe chop. Black canton coffe.

great location in the middle of town and 5 minutes to the beach.
Hotel is old in the inside.
The Hotel is within 5 minutes walk from the bus stop and down town. It was easy to find it. And from far we were able to spot the Hotel. It looks very nice from the outside with all the flowers on the balconies. The staff was friendly when check in and we were able to get our room before 12:00 AM. The hotel and room were clean. Although the hotel needs some work to be done in the inside such as new carpet and a new paint. The breakfast buffet was not big but we enjoyed having Thai dishies for breakfast. We were overall satisfied with the Hotel and it is still a good value for money. We would probably stay again in that Hotel.
Restaurant Tip : There are hundreds of restaurants and several good coffees around the Hotel. Everybody can find something to eat, either Asian or Western food.

mosquito infested and non friendly staff
We will never stay here again. The staff is rude and unfriendly they ignore you as you walk in and out of the hotel. This hotel is mosquito infested they were in the lobby, elevator, hallways, dining room and hotel room, we covered ourselfs in mosquito spray. Don't waste your money, you will not be happy at this Hotel. This is the 4th time we have traveled to Thailand and this is the worst hotel by far.

Good location, close to beach, night market, night life, restaurants and down town, easy to walk to attractions.
Rooms are comfortable clean and good, staff is kind and helpful, even to help when we need to park our car.
Sure that we come here again, next time when we are in Hua Hin

Good view over the city & bay, staff friendly, breakfast (asian & european)good, car park secure, on the main beach road
Pool small & only in the Sun until 13:00.
Noise from Soi Bintabaht (600m to the rear) can go on until 6:00am!!
Good, clean, friendly hotel, 2nd floor pool is disappointing, better to take a songtaew to Ko Takiep beach
Hotel Feature Tip : Get a room at the front of the hotel, that way you'll get the sun on the balcony & no noise from the bars at the rear.

Well located within minutes of shopping, bars, restaurants and beach.
Excellent staff.
No kettle in room for early/late tea or coffee.
Aircon in room was noisy, thermostat not working.
Aircon in Reception was set too low temperature.(the staff were freezing!)
The City Beach is well located in Hua Hin and within just a few minutes walk to shops, money exchange/ATM, bars and restuarants. Tuk tuk to Tesco Lotus mall is only 100 baht.
The hotel staff were very friendly, courteous and extremely helpful at all times especially for my golf booking arrangements.
I've stayed at the City Beach twice now and would be happy to go again if visiting Hua Hin.
Luggage trolleys are noticeably noisy if you're sitting outside the foyer enjoying a drink. They've solid rubber tyres and the ramp is very steep, so the porters have a few problems I imagine. If you're in a wheelchair you'll need a bit of help with this for sure.
Room furniture, bathroom fittings and decor are OK but on the verge of requiring refurbishment soon,(signs of wear and old repairs showing in places).
Laundry in the hotel was expensive. We found a laundry at a fraction of their prices just a few minutes walk away and used that for the month we were there.
Restaurant Tip : Turn left outside the foyer and left again at the road. Walk straight past the night market road end and keep going for about 100 yards. 'Moon' restaurant must be one of the best Thai food restaurants I've ever tried. Bon appetite!

Dead centre of town. Very helpful staff in all departments. Excellent buffet breakfast.
Swimming pool was uninspiring. Change room not private enough.
Rooms a little on the small side.
This hotel is remarkably good value, considering its location, right in the middle of Hua Hin. The two most popular streets in HH are right there. Lots of stores nearby, including an excellent English language bookshop. Only minutes from the beach. Food at breakfast was very good and plentiful. Plenty of space.
Close to Macdonald's (not usually a plus!, but handy for free wifi in the little arcade outside Macdonald's).
Travel tip : Take a walk through the gardens of the Sofitel hotel, just down the road and on the beach. You will be transported into the era of Somerset Maughan.

Ideally located near all attractions.
The hotel needs a big updating work concerning rooms and bathrooms.
ideally situated hotel very near all day or night attractions. Unfortunately the rooms are really to be updated. Old and dirty velvet, very old looking bathroom, awful noise when using shower ( when it works!)
had to change three times of room before to find one who doesn't smell an awful tobacco smoke odor. Unfortunately all rooms of this hotels are smoking rooms.

Attractive location near bars, restaurants etc.
If the lobby looks very nice the rooms needs a serious work of updating and especially the bathroom.
I stayed for few days at the City Beach Hotel. The hotel is ideally located near all night and day attractions as bars or restaurants.
Unfortunately the rooms are really stinky, cigarette smoke and had to change three time before finding one that's acceptable. The velvet in room looks really old and very dirty and guess it should be really the time to change it for some newer materials. Awful noises coming from the plumbing ....A real kind of "has been" hotel.
Nightlife Tip : All bars are close to the hotel.

great location - quick walk to the beach and the night market; comfortable rooms with good sea view; good value for money
breakfast was average quality
For tourists wanting closeness to the beach and shopping opportunities but with a limited budget, this hotel offers all you could need. Good value for its class - very clean, staff professional.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Very central to all the shopping areas and the beach
