The Devan Dara Resort and spa�s name is literally translated as "beautiful star of the angel" and the resort certainly lives up to it. Located in peaceful area of Hua Hin, the hotel is very well connected to the city center and beach. There are eight elaborate villas featuring a private pool, waterfall, outdoor bathtub and personal garden. Ultra elegant rooms have stylish d�cor and are equipped with modern amenities including high speed internet connection and cable TV. Breakfast was excellent. Large variety and good taste.

VERY far from the city and the free shuttle bus to take one back and forth only travels every 3 hours. Consider yourself stranded. Complex is bigger than needed for the number of customers, so there are many units which seem to be eroding in the sun.

I would only stay here in the future if I was planning to spend the entire day in my room. The trip to the city is way too far (14 km) and the trip to the beach is way too far (15 km) and the hotel pool is not all that nice. It is quiet and remote, but the views are not really all that good and the demerits of the remoteness outweigh any of the advantages. Only real strong point was the breakfast.

Nightlife Tip : Don't plan on going back and forth between the town and the hotel. Taxi is expensive (minimum of 200 baht) and shuttle bus is too infrequent.

Privacy is excellent. Staffs are nice and helpful. Shuttle bus service is the best there in Hua Hin.Room rate is reasonable.

Maybe the weather is too hot (late May), the A/C in day time isn't cool enough. Again, maybe the weather makes too many bugs stay in the room. Bathing room is the weakest point there; shower is weak and got insufficient warm water.

I stay in the jasmine villa for 4 days. Before I would like to upgrade to the pool villa in my last day, but the experience in the jasmine brings me hesitation. Encourage people to try stay there in the pre-summer periods (bugs maybe lesser).

Very private accommodation, beautifully furnished rooms, comfortable sitting corner in the room.

Pool is a bit small, restaurant very busy for breakfast.

The Dhevan Dara is a lovely place to stay and get away from it all. The Jasmine Villas offer the perfect blend of privacy and comfort. The swimming pool and sun bathing area is a bit small for the number of guests. And the restaurants could have a more pleasant outlook than the road and car park considering the size of the resort. The room service in the private garden is a more pleasant and relaxing experience than any of the restaurants.

Nightlife Tip : Get the hotel's free shuttle down to Hua Hin for a wide range of restaurants and bars.
