The first designer resort to be built in the quiet seaside town of Cha-am, the Hotel Cha-am is as aesthetically pleasing as it is located, offering guests a unique yet intimate vacation experience. Each accommodation has been conceptualized as a personal retreat - spacious, luxurious, comfortable, connected and most importantly, private. Hideaways are nestled amidst sprawling lawns and azure pools which stretch out to the beach beyond. Designed by renowned Asian architect Duangrit Bunnag, the resort has a distinctly tropical feel which is accentuated by contemporary interiors using Thai textures and furniture. All rooms also contain state-of-the-art modern amenities including home theatre systems, i-pod docking stations, 42" Plasma TVs and free WiFi access. Guests can indulge in the resort's fine dining options or relax by the rooftop pool with cocktail in hand.

Families with young children United States of America, May 20, 2013	Overall a disappointment comfortable bed, architecture, assessable beach 4.7 The hotel is in Cha'am and there's very little to see there. The beaches are okay, no shopping.... So basically, anything you want to do outside the hotel involves an expensive taxi, if you don't have your own car, or waiting around for the hotel shuttle to take you to Hu'hin - only twice a day. The biggest disappointment for us were the swimming pools. There are two pools, one close to the ocean, surrounded by grass, only 1.4 deep (shallow) and another bigger pool, 'the chill pool' surrounded by comfortable chairs, music, a bar etc... I was traveling with my six year old daughter, who is well behaved. We went swimming in the chill pool -- no one was in the pool. Immediately we were descended upon by the hotel customer relations person who insisted that we get out of the pool and leave immediately because 'children are not allowed in the chill pool.' The manager then came an explained to me that the pool is next to the spa and that 'guests might be uncomfortable leaving the spa if they see children in the pool.' Since, there were no guests at the spa or in the pool, I offered to leave when one came. I was told emphatically 'no, you must leave now.' Here's my daughter swimming quietly, not making a sound. The manager seemed genuinely threatened by a child! The ironic part is that we stayed at the hotel for four nights. We were there three and half days before we saw an adult in the chill pool and never saw anyone going into the spa. The hotel should make it up it's mind whether it wants to be an adult only hotel or include children. Right now it's trying to have it both way -- all about making money. We met another family with a young daughter, who agreed they would not come back either. When I told the manager that I would write about the treatment/service on my review, he said in a snarky voice 'good, then everyone will know that this pool is not for children!' Business travelers Thailand, May 19, 2013	stylish, serene a place to hide away spacious room, comfortable bedding and simple 7.7 I really like the place, the buildings and rooms are simply stylish. Staff is friendly and willing to give decent service. The beach is clean and nice. Good for a short break if you don't have much time to spend.
