Hua Hin Marriott Resort And Spa, Hua Hin / Cha-am

overall Marriott is still a good hotel to stay in Hua Hin.

The service,layout and beach of this hotel were the positives for this hotel.We found the inhouse dining very expensive especially compared to the plenty of available dining in the proximity.The rooms were a bit old and we had problems with the TV sound in the room. Unfortunately, we dont think we will like to stay at this hotel again should we visit Hua Hin again.

Marriot Hua Hin has excellent prospects to provide a great stay in Hua Hin. The location is close to the city center but still away from the most crowded beaches. It has a beautiful, well maintained garden that keeps the traffic noise at bay. The swimming pool has a small waterslide that keeps kids busy. There are also a good number of sun beds available conveniently at the beach. However, having spent weekends in considerable number of resorts in Thailand (living in Bangkok) the Marriot Hua Hin qualifies as a least likely resort that we will visit again. For the premium price Marriot charges for its services the quality should be impeccable. Breakfast has a reasonable selection of Asian dishes but western dishes are quite limited. For example cold cuts consisted of a single type of cheese and one type of ham. Given the nice surroundings and facilities for kids, you could live with this. Unfortunately it is the accommodation that flips the scale. Rooms and especially bathrooms that are in desperate need of an immediate refurbishment. Rooms are dark and bathroom furnishings straight from the seventies. But what really made the point was the smell in the room, of fungus from the air conditioner and of human discard probably from malfunctioning waste system.
