Food at Marriot is great, easy access to the beach. rooms are clean. 1. hotel staffs seem to care asian tourists less. happend to me twice in 2 nights' stay. Marriott staffs handed beach towels to western tourists side by side with my family automatically, while we had to ask for it, twice.
2. pool's water seems ..not so clear.. overall Marriott is still a good hotel to stay in Hua Hin.

2.Inhouse dining very expensive The service,layout and beach of this hotel were the positives for this hotel.We found the inhouse dining very expensive especially compared to the plenty of available dining in the proximity.The rooms were a bit old and we had problems with the TV sound in the room. Unfortunately, we dont think we will like to stay at this hotel again should we visit Hua Hin again.
Restaurant Tip : If you are adventurous enough, suggest that you take a few steps out of the hotel and enjoy Thai food at incredible prices.

- A smell of vastewater heavy on 1st floor room. Marriot Hua Hin has excellent prospects to provide a great stay in Hua Hin. The location is close to the city center but still away from the most crowded beaches. It has a beautiful, well maintained garden that keeps the traffic noise at bay. The swimming pool has a small waterslide that keeps kids busy. There are also a good number of sun beds available conveniently at the beach.
However, having spent weekends in considerable number of resorts in Thailand (living in Bangkok) the Marriot Hua Hin qualifies as a least likely resort that we will visit again. For the premium price Marriot charges for its services the quality should be impeccable.
Breakfast has a reasonable selection of Asian dishes but western dishes are quite limited. For example cold cuts consisted of a single type of cheese and one type of ham. Given the nice surroundings and facilities for kids, you could live with this. Unfortunately it is the accommodation that flips the scale. Rooms and especially bathrooms that are in desperate need of an immediate refurbishment. Rooms are dark and bathroom furnishings straight from the seventies.
But what really made the point was the smell in the room, of fungus from the air conditioner and of human discard probably from malfunctioning waste system.
Travel tip : The many golf courses in Hua Hin offer exellent value and exitement for all level of players.

very nice place for this hotel we can go to visit hua hin by foot, night bazar very close, market place and many shops in the city, the hotel become old, the rooms and bathroom are different, next time I try to choose an other one more new one

Great pool, architecture, and ambiance.
Plus, it was right on the beach! We enjoyed our brief stay in Hua Hin at this nice hotel. We had a car, so the fact that it is located away from the main part of town was not a problem for us.
Our son loved the pool, and the breakfast buffet was fabulous! There is a fun activity room for the kids, but our toddler was too young to be left with the staff.
We discovered the beautiful spa just before leaving, so we never had a chance to try it out.

Atmosphere, hospitality, location My family, my wife and eight year old son enjoyed three days nowhere in Hua Hin but at the hotel. We all loved the clean swimming pool and the white beach in front of the hotel.
I feel the restaurants were too pricey for taste, but when you think of the atmosphere, it could be reasonable.
Anyway the place is quite fine for family holidays. I'm sure I would stay at the hotel again.

The Italian restaurant, soft comfortable beds, well kept older hotel, near town, clean beach. Pool is small with mostly deep water - not much room for just paddling around. Restaurant Tip : There is a new mall about three blocks away with Starbucks. In the other direction is an open market with low cost, clean Thai food. It has a covered cooking and seating area so there is no worry about rain. A great thing to do and very convenient is go to town and rent a motorcycle. Getting around is quite easy after that.

Staff were extremely polite, friendly & professional, top-notch. Facility clean, comfortable and buffets are wonderful. While not the fault of Marriott perhaps, at least one of the fellows renting horses at the beach entrance is a cheat/thief.

Concierge Joey and other staff were of great help. Flagging a taxi on the mainroad can take some time.
Shopping Tip : There´s a Large Mall just down the road, about 10 minutes walk, left from the main entrance.
