So? Okay, you get what you pay for - no problems with Thai style for a 2 Star hotel. there are many better hotels in Hua Hin.
However, if you're looking for a restaurant & pool area infested with black flies -LOOK NO FARTHER. The staff told us us that Lok Kra Baht Maling Wan was due to the mango being in season. Since we were nowhere near any orchards, I soon discovered that the hotel does not rid the food garbage on a daily basis

Great hotel in a great area
1. The pool and ocean view. 2. Shuttle bus and cheap hotel taxis into city centre. 3. Value for money

The hotel is a little out of the city but with the hotel taxi for only 150 baht and the free shuttle bus that wasn't really an issue. It also means that the beach in front of the hotel is very quiet and perfect for early morning walks.
Hua Hin itself is great for a family holiday with plenty of tourist attractions and AMAZING seafood.

Perfect family hotel for hua hin and cha am
1. Range of breakfast options (thai and western) 2. Nice pool with beautiful beach view. 3. Easy access to Hua Hin by free hotel shuttle bus or hotel taxi (mini bus) for 150baht

Very nice stay with a large family. The only small issue was a problem with the aircon in the room which they fixed after about an hour.
The hotel is on a very quiet stretch of beach, but with a hire car you can easily go north to Cha-am which is very busy on the weekend with people coming down from BKK. And the seafood restaurants in Cha-am and Hua Hin are incredible.

A nice beach hotel
close to the see, nice staff, clean rooms

It is a nice hotel at the beach, but a little far from town. You have to use taxis because the bus to town goes not very often in the afternoon.
The room are big and clean. the beds are good. The internet is pretty slow. But the breakfast is very good.

Ideal shortbreak location to stay in a class hotel
Exotic Surrounds, large Breakfast hall, on the beach.

Positives: Excellent quality hotel on the high end of 4 star. Breakfast was a feast and the hotel surrounds are spectacular. large swimming pool with pool side bar - happy hour cocktails were buy one get one free.
Negatives: wi-fi was slooooow. European prices for food with no local restaurant alternatives. Long way to town and cannot walk all the way on the beach - i.e. must take a taxi.

disappointment on the condition of the room booked
by the beach, quiet, not too crowded.

we booked superior type because we thought superior mean higher grade. but it turned out to be the worse type of room, dark, no view. we then changed to the sea view and we were charged a lot more.
we needed to use internet but one of the computer was used, the other one was out of order.
