Service was fabulous. Rooms clean, spacious and the bed was to "die for". The grounds are something special. Great location near the beach and restaurant strip. Great value.
Wow,staying at the Sofitel in Hua Hin was something special. We stayed with our young son. The experience starts from the moment you enter the lobby with truely 5 star customer service. The "My Sofitel Bed" was unbelievably comfortable and it was a new sleeping experience as promised. You could lose hours walking around the beautiful grounds. Staying here has made it hard to stay anywhere else - we will return!

the best feature of the hotel is the openness and space around you didnt feel youre in a hotel, staff were very very friendly andcooperative food and pricers were good didnt feel like going out of the property for anything
check in was a bit slow thats all
we stayed at sofitel grand centara for 2 nights and regretted it should have stayed longer lovely resorts beautiful gardens the spa was amazing the restaurants were very good specially the thai food restaurant very reasonably priced also we did nt feel as if we were in a hotel at all the staff was very friendly and co-operative we had no problems even though we checked in at 10pm late checkout was no problem at all they let us keep our bags inthe hotel and we could use all facilities on the property till we left at 4pm so that was great would love to go back and spend some more time the golf clubs were also vert closeby so that was also an added attraction great holiday thankyou
Nightlife Tip : the restaurants outside the hotel gate were half the price and amazing the foot massage place was great

Close to both the beach and town. Plenty of extras (beach towels, sun block, etc.) and excellent security.
Dining inside the hotel is rather expensive. Piano player at the front desk uses twice the volume needed to hear him. The walk from the front desk to the rooms is LONG for many of the rooms.
No serious complaints at all, but this hotel is normally about the most expensive in Hua Hin. I would not stay here unless there is a special or unless I was on a no-limit vacation (like a honeymoon). The room is good, but no better than other much cheaper hotels in the same vicinity. The higher room rate basically gets you two swimming pools and plenty of hotel staff.
Restaurant Tip : Sara's is an excellent restaurant near the hotel. I would definitely dine out rather than in (cost reasons).

The British colonial architecture, the sculpted topiary trees and lush gardens are charming. Very comfortable bed (Sofitel brands it as MyBed). Best location, absolutely the heart of Hua Hin downtown but very quiet, best beach in Hua Hin.
Dated bathrooms, especially the towels (hope it is not served since “railway hotel” period). Slipper looks not clean and used.
Overpriced breakfast.
Sofitel was carefully selected by me, a kind of perfectionist, for my first holiday in Hua Hin with my family (wife and young baby). I have no more words to praise its charming colonial architecture and lush gardens and would like to comment on location, beach, hotel and room facilities.
Sofitel is right at the heart of Hua Hin downtown and it can be proved by the presence of McDonalds and Burger King (the only shop in Hua Hin, I think). Hua Hin Railway Station (a famous scene in Hua Hin) and Village Market (the biggest shopping mall) also is just around, as well as the great Mamma Mia Pizza restaurant.
Hua Hin beach, the one just in front of Sofitel, is not a good place for swimming(lots of rocks) but it has widest beach ,whitest sand and best view comparing to Cha-Am and Khao Takiap. The sun chair of Sofitel is served not just on beach but inside hotel territory. Your privacy therefore can be protected with exact same sea view.
There are three pools in Sofitel, one is particularly for adult (2.6 meters deep) and one is quite kid-friendly.
My wife and my baby really like the bed (bedding) in room, Sofitel calls it “MyBed”. It is soft and cozy.
The negative things to me are overpriced breakfast and hard/dated towels in bathroom.
We enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Sofitel is right next to the beach, but don't expect too much of the beach or sea swimming. Basically each and every single tenant spend times with in the hotel, by the pool or in the gardens. Hotel has a huge number of bungalows suitable for family visitors. The location is very central in Hua Hin, and if you go by train it is within 10min walking distance from the station.

Great location and well spread out property. Service was excellent and staff really helpful. It had all the modern amenities along with an old-world charm. The rooms are well maintained
At some places there is a slight step - just an unevenness on the floor. These should be evened out so one does not trip. I had a bad fall just as I was walikng in one of the corridors
The Sofitel Centara experience is one of a kind. From the moment you arrive the staff are all out to making you comfortable and relaxed. You are invited to relax even before filling in the form. They inform you of room choices available and are happy to show you different types of rooms before you finalise ( eg for the view, or twin/king bed choice etc.) Through out the hotel service is with a smile!
Hotel Feature Tip : The beach is clean and well maintained.

I search and read the reviews on many web sites. My final decision is to book the hotel with Agoda for my trip in Hua Hin. This is my firt time in Hua Hin but many times in ThaiLand. The hotel is the best hotel Hua Hin compare with other 5 star hotel such as Hyatt, Hilton...The room and staff are wonderful. The private beach plus excellent services has made a great different for the trip. Other hotel will have many soicitors...I would recommend other and will visit again next year. This web site has the best deal for this 5 star hotel compare with other 3-4 times higher than waht I paid for....all rooms are private and have balcony...
the only small thing such as safe doposit box is not working porperly 3 times..and could not get your valuble out as when you need them because it needed 1 hour to reset the box before the manager can open the box again. Hair dryer is not working properly, on and off...other wise it is a great hotel.

No words can express the sheer beauty of this incredible hotel
For the price one pays, one should be able to have free wifi in one's room.
This is like being on the film set of a novel by Somerset Maugham or Joseph Conrad. Just wonderful sense of space...and architectural "rightness". The topiary alone is brilliant. Loads of pools to dive into, constant supply of towels and drinks. (The usual Germanic/English obsession with reserving a lounge chair with a towel....not supposed to reserve a chair beyond two hours...no idea if this rule was observed...plenty of chairs anyway. Right on the beach, though Hua Hin beach is spoilt by all the hawkers and the extremely ugly high rise of the Hilton Hotel, surely one of the most vomitous buildings in all of Hua Hin.
Even so, I would return to this place many times. This is the kind of graciousness you rarely come across these days.

Traditional architecture.
Gardens.
Pools and Sports facilities.
The internet involves you buying cards that don't always work.
Great public areas ... lobby traditional with fantastic wooden staircase , rooms a bit small but with excellent veranda for relaxing and reading ...
Garden are great , beautiful flowers ...
Afternoon tea is a must !
Hua hin itself is small but big enough to have lots of great restaurants ... food is really fantastic .

beautiful hotel.Situated on the beach and yet at the end of the shopping street of Huahin.
This hotel offers quality and luxe.
The Sofitel Huahin has the grandeur of the "fin du siecle". Every minute you think yourself as in a great film. Beautiful entourage, superb gardens and elegant decoration makes this hotel one of the most original and beautiful ones of Thailand.Excellent food and services .
Travel tip : A lot of opportunity to shop and have dinner in the many shops and restaurants of Huahin.

Pools, Breakfast, Service, magnificent gardens.
Our five days at the sofitel were the highlight of our three week holiday. The service is outstanding and the gardens superb. The breakfast included would be the best I have come across in a resort. The only disappointment was that on arrival we were told our room wouldn't be ready until after 9pm as they had given late checkout to the people before.

Beautiful hotel. Good location.
Staff speaks not very good English. There were Dengue mosquitos in the garden.
I had a good time in the Sofitel. It has a big garden with several swimming pools. The location is good; you just walk into Hua Hin village to visit the shops and restaurants. No need for transfer. The rooms are good and quite luxurious. The breakfast is good. The staff is very friendly, but do not speak English very well.

lack of restaurants in the area
We have stayed at the Indra Regent a few times and I always reccomend it to friends who are goint to Bangkok for the first time, it is in a good location for shopping for both clothes and computer accesories at the Pantiph centre through the back of the Bayoke. The only thing we didn't think was good last time was the lack of staff at the reception desk and the long queue to get booked in. They had also changed the restaurant to a large one with the buffet breakfast, there was plenty to choose from and plenty of seats, though it was like a large canteen.
Shopping Tip : We walk a lot and that is the best way to find out more areas, also you have to bargain for anything you want to buy - go down to half and come up to a third off. There are a lot of stalls with the same things, so you will always get what you want for however much you want to pay for it.
